Good god this show is amazing. McConaughey is a powerhouse in this. The final scene from last nights episode was mesmerizing.

Are we supposed to be scared of the guy in his undies and gas mask? He's obviously just cooking meth. Big deal. Not the killer.

Yes. We are supposed to be scared of the big tattooed man in a jockstrap and gasmask carrying a machete.

The show is not a whodunit. They found their suspect and then we saw scary jockstrap machete guy.

The mystery of the show is what happened between the two cops, not who the murderer was.

True but there is still a whodunit aspect to it in the present day with another killer out on the loose with this guy already out

Well a traditional whodunit is in Act I everyone is arriving at old British house for a party. Act II begins with a body being found. So you know all the suspects beforehand and you have figured who committed the murder.

There's still a lot things to be revealed, but we're not going to be whittling down suspects.

god damn. just watched the first 3 this weekend. That was one of the best pilots I've ever seen. I'm in and I'm real picky about my TV these days. Love that they seem to have a broader arc figured out rather than just some week to week bullshit. Can't wait to see where this goes.

They have the same writer and same director for every episode. So it's more like a film split up 8 ways than your average TV show. And there wasn't a team of writers either, just one guy- locked himself in a room for 3+ months and crunched out 550 pages of script. So it's a very focused and controlled arc. Can't wait to see how it all plays out.

End of this first season will likely disappoint due to the insane amounts of hype and build up this is getting...

Hope my lack of optimism helps me out :)

They are definitely hinting at either MM or WH as the killer... MM in the last episode was talking like a serial killer

Its not him that's too obvious, but point is the writer is clearly trying to make you wonder "whodunit"
