Raptors lose game 1 in Toronto to Nets
If counting properly, DeRozan didnít take a single uncontested jump shot in the game. His teammates didnít get him the ball. Most times he wasnít open. He forced some shots. It was clear from the beginning, the Nets planned on taking him out of the game, maybe the series.
It was accomplished far too easily in a Game 1 where the atmosphere should have tilted the playoff game in the Raptors favour.
Only Paul Pierce did what heís been doing most of his career. He took over a one-point game with three minutes and 56 seconds to play.
Pierce scored nine of the Netsí next 11 points. The one-point game became a seven-point game-over.
