Wow holy shit. We lose to Charlotte and then we potentially beat Dallas/OKC consecutively on the road. Go f*cking figure!

The Dallas win I was like, we're due for one of those every once in awhile. The OKC win i'm in disbelief. We take down the #1 team in the league with an unbeaten record at home in come from behind fashion in the 4th quarter to make it 4 wins in the last 5 games (and the other loss was on a buzzer beater). If tanking was the goal of trading away Rudy Gay, chalk that one up to an epic failure. Everyone on this team wants to win.

My wording might have just caught you off guard. When I'm talking about "major parts of winning", I meant a core. A core (IMO) can be 2-3 players to build around that were originally drafted. In San Antonio's case, they had Duncan, Parker, and Manu. They also had David Robinson from the 99 and 03 runs.

The rest of the teams ? Celtics were smart, I agree. But only had Pierce as a holdover and Rondo wasn't a big factor till later. Lakers ? Bryant and Fisher, but Fisher could be replaced and was past his prime. Mavericks ? Nowitzki and Kidd, but Kidd was pretty much passed his prime and not THAT huge of a factor. Heat ? Wade and Chalmers, but Chalmers could be replaced.

NONE of those teams had a core like San Antonio and NONE played together for well over a decade. They either traded or signed for free agents/talent.

Like I've said before, you can do it anyway possible. Draft, sign free agents, or trade to build a great team.

This pattern is still a sign that this franchise is not a winning franchise.

Immaturity and lack of mental toughness.

OKLa is the perfect example ; a team that takes care of business at home "usually".

This team now has the parts to win in the East. They have the best 1-2 point guards in the titanic and probably the best depth in big me. More experience in key positions than say the Wizards, Pistons, Knicks, Nets (especially among back ups).

Bottom line : Mental colapses at home against Bobcats. The Bobcats may be improved but a quality team of this calibre of talent on paper know how to grind through those home wins.

Too talented to mis the playoffs in the east ?

I simply hope that those 3 draft picks in the next 2 years (on top of what ever more we get with Klow moving on I assume) parley into something of a core 3-4 players of above average talent that want to win in Toronto.

This team doesn't have a lack of mental toughness they just beat the Mavs and Thunder on the road. They're are simply too good to tank at the moment.

I'm not convinced espcially vis a vis Mental Toughness.

Knicks for 2 games.

The Knicks are (1) Playing bad ball (2) with marginal point guards, (3) and two stars hurt at less than 100%

A good mentally tough team will win both games against a divisional opponent that is down on its luck/ stuggling

I've been wrong before but I bet they split the series or worse yet loose both.

Tyson Chandler has been back now for the last 3 games. Was pretty impactful last night.

Expecting the toughest battles between Boston and New York.

A mentally tough team packs it's bags when Rudy Gay us traded and it's Kobes return on the same day. They'll give up to undefeated at home OKC team and a pretty good Mavs team.

They're 5-3 (take out one of the best teams on the schedule and they would be 5-1) without Gay and some of the wins are impressive, let's not kid ourselves. Even though some of us are cheering for the tank, give this current roster credit they have been good and it's been fun to watch their basketball.

Let's be graceful fans. It's not often we put good stretches like this together.

Not ungrateful..

Unconvinced.

Lets see how they perform back to back against the Knicks. 2 wins and I will properly be dancing in the aisles.

I retract I was clearly wrong.

2 solid games and not just KLow. Good movement. Val played in the right minutes. Amir doing things away from the ball. Derozan doing things away from the ball.

This team demonstrated great mental toughness and took advantage of a confernece foe playing bad basketball.

I dont know if Klow is here now forever or not. I suspect they try to resign him ; he is certainly playing for his contract and seems to be playing with Coach's favor.

They keep winning these types of series... Knicks, Nets, Celtics, Bucks, Wizards.. this team is primed for playoffs with 44 wins in the Titanic... and likely the divisional crown again.

Sense of deja vu to BC first season.
