Hawks lost again,Knicks are now just 1.5 games behind with 10 games left.

Our schedule is getting way tougher so this is probably as close we'll ever come to the playoffs.

Hawks lost again. They're basically giving us their playoff spot and the Knicks are like "No thanks, you can have it."

Another opportunity to get only 1 game behind but the Warriors are a much better team so a win is unlikely.

If we just won some games against shitty teams instead of getting blown out (Lakers and Celtics for example) right now we would have been in the playoffs.

This team isnt that good to proclaim victory over other bad teams is an error on your part. This team is only better than the obvious tanking teams and they can lose to any other team on any given night as opposed to winning on any given night.

Selfishly I want this team to be in the playoffs to screw Denver but this team is pretty bad. A 30 win team with Melo on it probably a 20 win team with him off it. Not really that much difference.

Hopefully Jax can do something positive.

This team isn't that much different than the 50+ win team last year that got into the second round of the playoffs. All the key pieces are here,we just lost a couple of old guys who didn't play much and didn't play well late in the season (Kidd was shooting like 0-342353 in the playoffs ).
Those guys provided leadership but come on,they don't just magically add 20 wins.

As for playoff contention,we're now only a game behind the Hawks. But there's a problem.
We have 8 games remaining, all of them against playoff teams.
Hawks have 10 games remaining, only 5 of them are against playoff teams and they play Sixers and Bucks as well which are basically automatic wins.
For things to be worse, they'll probably have the tiebreaker so they'll probably have to lose 3 games more than us until the end of the season.

1 game behind doesn't seem a lot but when you look closely at the schedules it's going to take a miracle for the Knicks to get in.

Doesnt matter who they lost (When Chandler went down Copeland became a major role player). Last year was some kind of fluke.

Why are you so emotionally charged with this playoff scenario?

I just might be the only one here to see that one in person. Hayward and burks are both really good. Favors is terrible. Is love to see Alec burks as the backup pg for the Knicks

Because I want us to get into the playoffs. I know we probably wouldn't even make it to the second round, heck,we probably wouldn't even have a competitive 1st round series. But I still want us to get in so I can at least watch some Knicks playoff basketball instead of shitty Indiana-Atlanta,Miami-Charlotte series.

Knicks playing Heat always seems to be a big game, but I'm not really a fan of this one for some odd reason.

It doesn't have the same feeling when you don't have something to play for.

I know I'm supposed to leave Melo alone, but dude is always hurt when you need him.

Phil please renounce his rights when he opts out.

Good guy, not a player you want if winning is your goal.
