Default Landlord to the Bulls? Why Pax, Why?

I don't think drafting Shelden Williams, especially at the #2 spot is a smart move by Paxson and the Bulls. I can see the rationale though; Williams is as NBA-ready as you can get with a blue-collar workmanlike attitude that Scott Skiles loves. But at 2 with potential stars Aldridge and Thomas likely on the board? I don't know. Comments?

I would be surprised if they took Williams.

0.00% chance this happens. I don't think Shelden worked out for the Bulls. Just more "smoke"..

Chicago needs a good big man down low and Williams is the most NBA ready/proven big man in the Draft. Makes sense. He's a proven winner too. Just like John Paxson's track record indicates....HE WILL TAKE WINNERS BABY!

I love how the Bulls are able to take advantage of poor management decisions by other organizations (New York, Portland). The ONLY reason that Portland traded spots with Chicago was probably because Chicago was fielding offers from teams who were also interested in moving up for LaMarcus. There was no way that Charlotte would have taken Aldridge, and the Bulls don't believe that Aldridge fits their hard-nosed scheme. A freak athlete with unbelievable potential, an enigmatic European who was a former first-rounder, and cash considerations. This was an absolute steal for the Bulls. Who do you target at 16? Does Tyrus play the 3 or the 4- I know they said 3 on ESPN, but I don't know- he has room to fill out his body and play the four.

...and how did Da Bulls convince Philly to swat picks with them to get Thabo Sefolosha at #13 for #16? Excellent power move.

Well, it wasn't 13 straight up for 16, I think the Bulls tossed in either cash considerations or a future second rounder.
