hawkfan Trade Scenario (where amazing happens): Toronto and Charlotte
Ben Gordon (expirer)
The Raptors get rid of Gay and his big contract. They get a bunch of cap space to try to rebuild the team next summer.
The Bobcats finally get a real perimeter scorer in Gay, to go alongside their first real low post player in a long time, Al Jefferson. They are paying Gordon a lot of money and he's just sitting on the bench. It's hard to get free agents to go to Charlotte, so this will get them a good player.
Gay-Jefferson is a solid offensive duo, and it takes pressure off of the younger players. With these two and solid play from the other players, the Bobcats should be competitive every night.
