Re: My Lillard/Hawes for Durant?
If you follow the patterns of Hawes, he usually starts hot and cools off end of season. Lillard looks like he will continue his great run from last year. But Durant will always be Durant, and his stats improve when Westbrook plays.
So...yes I would do it. I've owned Hawes the last 3 years and he always cools off. BUT, if you think he will stay hot, I would not do the trade. Hawes is on fire right now and doesn't have to look over his shoulder for someone to steal his job.
There is no sure fire answer. It all hinges upon Hawes. But shit, you either got him in a really low round or picked him off wires right?
If I were the person owning Durant, and knew all the above facts, I would not do the trade, though. Usually the person gaining the best player is getting the better part of the trade.
