Default Draft Lottery

Don't look now, but we currently have the #8 pick of the upcoming draft!!

The current bottom 9 teams are nearlllllly guaranteed to finish bottom 9 at seasons end, question is, in what order.

As it stands,

#9 Cavs .366
#8 Det .362
#7 Kings .348
#6 Utah .338
#5 Celts .329

I have never been one to tank, but if we finish with #9 we obviously don't get that draft pick... Tank these last 10 games, please....

Thoughts?..

I've been an advocate of tanking when the half way mark started nearing.

Definitely the smart move for us.

Package Josh Smith + Jennings for #5 + J.Hill,

Package #8 + Monroe for #2 + Moultrie

Lakers:
Jennings / Kobe / Smith / Gasol get a final few years to capitlize on Kobe's era, and a young LA suited PG in Jennings,

Philly: Frontcourt of Noel / Monroe for years to come, led by MCW, Thad as the glue guy at SF then flexibility with #8 to pick up a good SG such as Harris..

Pistons:
Drummond
**
J.Parker (#2 pick)
KCP (defensive specilist 3 and D hustle guy to compliment the the studs)
Exum (#5 pick

Would have Hill and Moultrie and hope one of them pans out to be an enforcer type PF that could compliment Dre,

Ahhhh I love GM mode on 2k14 :P

The last few seasons Detroit has played well at the very end of the season. I'm hoping they don't do that this year. We really need to have a lottery pick this year. If we can land that lottery pick we have a chance of having a very good team again. We can draft a player that we really need to help balance our roster. I'm all for tanking.

Normally I hate tanking, but at this point the season is totally doomed so they might as well go for it.

Remember last year we were supposed to get the 7 pick and some team hopped over us and pushed us back to 8. Nothing is guaranteed. Need to hope Sacramento finishes better than us.

Yeah, it's all going to be up to the ping pong balls.

That is if we get the chance to have a ping pong ball!! We play Cavs later on in this week, the outcome of that game is very, very important. I say Drummond should have a "migraine" on that day and we should give Smith the green light to shoot as many 3's as he likes....

Even if we finish with the 8th worst record that doesn't mean we get the 8th pick. We still need the ping pong ball to finish in the top 8 picks. If we get bumped (like we have in the past), and the pick drops to 9 or lower than it goes to Charlotte. It's going to take a lot of luck. We really need that lottery pick this year so we can draft another guard or SF.

I hate how we finally decide to win a few games at the end of the season. We need to be in full on tank mode.

The last thing the NBA needs is for the Cavs to have another top pick lol.

I don't think I have cheered harder this season than when Waiters hit that game winner against us yesterday. That game had double impact, you beauty!
