You know what I'm talking about right?

And what do you actually know about Rajon. He was the heart of Kentucky past year, and is one of the best defenders/penetrators/ballhandlers in all of CBB. As a PG i would rate him third to Lowry and M. Williams. Who cares if he can't shoot well? The guy can find a way around his bigazz dinnerplate hands, preferrably bank shots or layups (what he'z a king at)

I'm just telling you GeeWhiz, you're the man and all but calm the ***** down on your opinoins you got a lot of "credibility" as an NBA poster, but no need to confuse the beginners of CBB, cuz you for one, are an uninformed one yourself.

There's no point in reasoning with gw. He knows absolute **** about college bball and prospects. He's probably still wondering why Tony Skinn and Jai Lewis hasn't been drafted.

Nets need a backup to Kidd and Marcus is a perfect fit. He gets the playing time he needs to gain experience and has one of the best PGs in the league as a teacher. Couldnt be any better for him.

I think its great for the Nets, but for Marcus...its both good and bad.

It's good he gets to learn and play with Kidd, but since the Nets are legitimate contenders, they can't simply "fool around" and just hand over important minutes to Williams unless he proves himself. I think Frank trusts Jacque Vaughn a lot as a backup and Williams is going to prove he is reliable before he gets any significant backup minutes. For new players, sometimes its better just to get starters minutes and take your lumps right away...thrown into fire sort of thing.

Look at Darko. How much better off would he have been going to a team where he would have started? He would have been much more advanced by now.

But as a parttime Nets fan, I'm thrilled.....

Only a parttime Nets fan?

Frank loves Vaughn for his pressure defense, but he can do little else. Marcus' jumpshot still needs work, but he'll a good back up for Jason and is ready to contribute. Whenever you have unselfish guys like Jason, Richard, or Carter, even Jason Collins (who is content with never shooting the ball), you're in a good posistion to score. Marcus has great court vision and can take it to the hole....but he does seem a little boneheded at times...Talking about the GMU game and the Big East tourney game against Syracuse. So I'm curious if Kidd can teach him right.

As for contending team...I doubt the Nets are that. They are sorely lacking depth. Boone is not ready to contribute by all indications. Nor is Adams. Wright is looking good for the summer, playing hard but he'll need to make huuuugggge adjustments to even crack the rotation. Hopefully McInnis can get a solid back up. Maybe a sign and trade for Kelvin Cato? Zoran needs to be cut, right now.

The Nets are not a contending team? They had the 3rd seed in the Eastern Conference. Many people had them beating the Heat in the series. That's not contending??

All I'm saying is Nets are not a rebuilding project. Williams will have to produce and play well right away, or Vaughn will continue to play...

Well, I'm actually a Knicks fan (or was a Knicks fan), but I follow and go to Nets games as well....

Don't get ahead of yourself. The Nets lost in 5...the worst of any team that played the Heat. I know what Riley said, but fact remains, they did not have a shot at the title this year. Detroit would've been tough, and the Nets have troubles with Dallas despite crushing them once this season. They're still far away from that. They can't have a solid bench to win the title, they need a great bench and the bench starters are just a bunch of D-league specialists.

I never said they were a rebulding project, just that they are a mid-level team like Cleveland and Clippers who are still some away from becoming a contending team. What they have going for them is a solid core, but the other pieces aren't working. Of course Williams has to contribute. We didn't take him for any other reason. If he gets the weight down, he'll be ready. He's just too good to be denied minutes.

Yeah that was my 2nd guess after possibly being a former Raptor fans.

He'll be a great fit in NJ IMO. I mean learning from Kidd is going to make him a lot better. Nets have a good back up PG now and they used the 22nd pick to get a top 10 talent. I'm not saying Marcus will be THE NEXT JKidd but even after Kidd and Carter get old Krstic, Ilic, Jefferson, and Williams can be a good team.

True, but you can get better bench players. That's what free agency is for. I'm sure Thorn can come up with something. Plus Robinson, Vaughn, Murray, and now Williams isn't terrible....

I think they are higher than a mid level team. You are not giving them enough credit. I would have ranked them the 6th team overall last year behind Mavs, Spurs, Pistons, Heat, and Suns. Being 6th means you aren't far away from a title...just need some tweaking...

Marcus is still a fat sleazeball, right?

If so, then no, I don't think things have worked out too well for him.
