I know what you are getting it and it was a decent pick but he would have been there at 29. And thy drafted Collins what was the point they passed up Marcus for Collins really.

Best case scenario, he becomes Malik Rose. There's no reason to pick him where they did, or in front of some of the other players available.

I like Mardy Collins.

Isiah's reasoning:

Quote:
But Thomas said Balkman was the guy he wanted all along, and although most thought he would have been available with the 29th pick, Thomas knew Phoenix was set to take Balkman at No. 27. Sure enough, Phoenix traded out of the draft once Balkman was off the board.

"I thought, 'If we take Balkman at No. 20, somebody will drop to us [at No. 29],' " Thomas said last night. "If we didn't get Collins, we had a backup. But Balkman wouldn't have been there at No. 29."

So what was the attraction of a player who received little pre-draft fanfare? "We wanted to get defenders," Thomas said. "We have enough offensive players. We need guys who defend."

I think he got scared but he could be correct. Renaldo sounds like he can be a solid player even if he doesn't live up to his draft status.

i realize he could be good but he would have been there in the 2nd round. We should have gotten some stuff to move down into mid 3nd round. Then i would have liked the pick.

He was thinking that, since this will be his only year coaching anyway, why not let the team suck some more and give the Bulls a better chance to get Oden next year.

If you really wanted a point and Renaldo Balkman you could have taken Marcus Williams at 20 and Balkman at 29 instead of Balkman at 20 and Collins at 29.

What does it matter? A 6'8" guy who can't play basketball is just as bad as a 6'5" guy who can't play basketball. Good Lord, why are you Gotham Kool Aid drinkers defending this insane pick, or anything else that Thomas does for that matter? The Knicks under Isiah are by far the worst pro franchise I have ever seen...or will ever see. Zeke is a joke. The Knicks are a joke. It will be a looooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooong time before they recover from Isiah's foolishness.

But go ahead, keep rationalizing the incompetence, if it makes you feel better.

Renaldo Balkman is this year's version of Charlie V. last draft.

The ESPN panel just worked him over like a pack of ravenous hyenas.

Balkman would have been there at 60. If the NBA Draft still went seven rounds, he may have been there at 210. More proof that Isiah doesn't know his ass from an elbowing foul.

For the love of all things holy, you Knicks Zombies are beyond belief.
