Default The Bengals can still win the North

I'm nowhere near sold on this year's team, certainly don't see them getting out of the first round much less making the tournament. I am hopeful though.

I believe they have tuned out Marvin Lewis. My biggest fear from last season's disastrous playoff loss has come true. That was either going to galvanize them, or tear them apart. Unfortunately, the latter has occurred. There wasn't much roster turnover, but they look like a completely different team. They don't protect Dalton, and they can't tackle on defense. These were staples of prior Bengals teams.

Other big factors include the loss of numerous assistant coaches, and recent draft picks not panning out.

It speaks volumes to the awfulness of the AFC North that they are still in the mix. I don't think they can do it, but if they beat Baltimore on Sunday, they are right back in it. We technically still control our own destiny, as we have 3 remaining games left vs. Baltimore and Pittsburgh.

What's the point? Aren't you tired of the coach and QB? They absolutely cannot get it done in the playoffs with those 2.

I'm over Marvin Lewis. Classic case of a guy who can get a team from point A to B, but not point B to C.

As for Dalton, I think if you were to list the numerous team problems, he would be pretty low on the list. I don't think he has it in him to be an elite level NFL QB, but I think he's capable enough.

His o-line is getting him killed this year.

I agree, the OL hasn't been playing up to their level of talent this season. I believe Andy Dalton has demonstrated he's worthy of being a franchise QB, even if he's barely in that circle. Perhaps he's the best "game manager" in the league today, but if he's protected properly what he did last season leading up to his injury (I believe it was around Week 11 or 12?) should convince the haters he can be special under the right circumstances. You have to remember, he was in the MVP race up until his injury a year ago.

And yes, Marvin Lewis has got to go. I think it was a mistake letting Zimmer go.
