For those of you who vividly recall the late 80s-early 90s, you probably have heard of the Ray brothers. Ricky, Robert, and Randy were hemophiliacs who contracted HIV through tainted blood in the summer of '86.
After winning a legal battle to keep their kids in school, the Ray's home was burnt down(most likely arson) a week later. They were forced to leave Arcadia, Florida and bolt for Sarasota.
The boys wanted to lead their lives like any teenager would. Sports were big amongst the Ray brothers. Things looked good until Robert's HIV became full blown AIDS in 1990. Ricky was next, his becoming full blown in March 1991.
Ricky, the eldest brother, passed away in December 1992 at age 15. Robert passed away in October 2000 at age 22. Randy, the youngest of the three brothers, is still alive today, despite having full blown AIDS. He is currently married. Candy, the boys's sister and youngest of the four, does not have HIV and currently is married with a kid.
For those of you who were not that young at the time, do you recall the Ray brothers? If so, do you think highly of the boys?
