It has to be Kareem or Magic. Magic for obvious reasons. Kareem averaged 29/15/4 on 52% shooting as a rookie and 36/17/4 on 57% shooting in the playoffs which I am guessing is the best stat average in the post season for a rookie ever, at least for one that has played more than 3 or 4 games.

What garbage. Prime Robinson was 1994-95 Robinson.

And to end this ridiculous thread:

1. Wilt Chamberlain
37 ppg and 27 rpg is amazing, and his competition was good, I hate how people think Wilt was just dominating 6'7" White guys like Brian Scalabrine.

2. Magic Johnson
Dominated, changed the game, and was the Finals MVP. That's good for me.

3. Elgin Baylor

if there is a knock on his rookie year, it was because he shot 46%. very few legendery big men if any, shoot that bad of a % until after their primes. for a big man Wilt was a chucker his rookie year

My earlier post said, in the last 5 years... Tim Duncan probably was the best rookie in the last 10 years. But for Chris Paul, im referring to the last 5 seasons.

But im gonna go in the last 5years.

In the last 5years it would have to be Chris Paul, talk about an impact; he made a New Orleans that was going no where into a playoff team. He made players like David West open up into one of the more "decent" players in the league. He was in the top of the league in steals and assists in his first season.

Last 5 years, its Chris Paul. His rookie season was amazing.
