That would make a lot of people look bad if he was.

Give Isiah a chance. He has been okay with draft picks over the years.

There were sources that said the Suns really wanted him at 21 and because he was gone is the reason they traded their pick. His stock was skyrocketing so he probally wouldn't have been left at 29. I don't think a 6'5'' power foward was a smart pick for the Knicks though.

I heard that was a big load of crap, Phoenix basically said they weren't interested in him at any pick!

You want to call O'Bryant a bust already after a couple summer league games? Kind of quick to make a decision don't you think?

orlando has the honor for two years in a row last year they drafted a guy whos gf wouldnt let him leave from overseas this year they pick reddick(who has a j) but needs back surgery.

the suns sonics and knicks are a close second.

the suns no picks, the sonics draft a center for the third year in a row in the 1st round, and my knicks.

balkman is a good hustle player and is averaging 8.3 points and 5.3 rebounds during the lvs while collins has shown nothing through three games, He had just two assists in 63 minutes, averaging 5.7 points.

The Suns denied that rumour and said that they wouldn't take him even if they had a second round pick.

Did you talk to the Suns? It is very possible that is true. No matter how bad Issah Thomas is he had a reason to draft Balkman at 20 and not 29. You may bash him all you want but he is the GM in the NBA and has credentials. He had a reason to draft Balkman at 20 and even if the Suns didn't draft Balkman at 21 they could have drafted him at 27.

I like the Balkman pick. He was drafted too high, but he will mesh well with Mardy Collins. Balkman is like Bruce Bowen, and Collins is like a Derek Anderson or Aaron McKie. I think they had a fine first round, they just should have traded down the #20 and Steve Francis for a second rounder. One guard gone, 20 to go.

Phoenix got cash in return for their picks, and b/c of that they can keep their Shawn Marion.

Worst pick of first round is a tie between Joel Freeland and Saer Sene. Sene being the absolute worst if I had to choose. Both weren't terrible selections when you think about it though. Their teams don't have to sign them and can just leave them overseas and see if they develop. Sene is the worst b/c he was picked at #10, way too high.

Araujo wasn't even in this draft. Where have you been? He was drafted in 2004, duh! And there's no way he's worse than Freeland or Sene. He may not have worked out in Toronto, but he can still play basketball, something you can't say about Sene and Freeland.
