I got sick earlier this week (bad chicken) and you know how when you get sick and have weird cravings? Well, I had a craving for a filet-o-fish drenched with extra tartar sauce, and, I got one, and I ate it, and it was awesome.

And I hate seafood, but now I love mickey-d's filet-o-fish sandwiches!

No thanks. I try not to eat fast food at all (stupid liberal hippie I am ) and that doesn't seem too appetizing to me.

One of the things I'm most upset about, about living in New England for two years is that I didn't eat more seafood.

Eels have it the worst. My english teacher told me a few years ago that sometimes they are skewered alive, lengthwise, and rotisserie'd.

I recently had lobster that was dusted with cayenne pepper, various spices, and some flour and lightly fried.

Holy crap was that good.

I have no real comment but I love how this thread quickly became how delicious lobster or some other closely related food is, rather then the original question posted about it being ethical. I guess taste reigns over ethics in this case.

So, all liberals say that animals are better than humans? Interesting,. Which uhm, mainstream liberals would that be?

Although you really could make the argument that animals are more ethical than humans. When was the last time you saw an animal get another animal hooked on crack so he could use them? Or exploited them financially? Enslaved them?

I've also always been under the impression that the lobsters die almost on contact.

actually the logical flow of argument in what I said is that

"all activists are liberals."

not the converse.
