1) Tom Brady and the Pats lose in the conference final in '07 and '11

2) Brady's superbowl record is perfect

3) He's greater in that scenario than making the superbowls and losing?

I didn't know All-Pro teams and MVP's were meaningless stats in relation to a players resume. Not to mention all the major records he will probably hold - Most yards and TD's in single season, most career TD/yards.

Peyton's on the second team of that list.

FYI, they have Marvin Harrison as a first team all-decade player (he was unproductive from 2006 on) and Terrell Owens a second team....even though Owens was basically a beast for the whole decade.

Brady played eight years, Peyton played 10 full seasons.

Peyton in the decade:
7 All-Pro
4 MVPs,
1 superbowl
1 superbowl MVP

Passing Yards - 42254
Touchdowns - 314
QB Rating - 98

Brady:

2 All Pro
1 MVP
3 Superbowls
2 Superbowl MVPs

Passing Yards - 30844
Touchdowns - 225
QB Rating - 93

Let's just be real, he got the nod over Manning because voters loved a "winner."

They aren't irrelevant. I'm not typing Trent dilfer is as good or Eli is better because of rings.

But of all the sports, the quarterback is the most important poisition. Most influential. To be considered goat , titles has to be the most important factor.

Just look at this year, all those "stats" and "records " don't mean nothing because he got stomped in SUPERBOWL.

I'm 100% SURE Peyton would trade a 3500 yard, 30 td season with a Super Bowl title over how this year went. No question.

That sums it up. I guess it's a philosophy that most all nfl athletes have against a philosophy of homer stat monger fans.

It's not the most influential. If it were, the elite QB's would win every year, just like in the NBA where the best players typically always win a title, except for a few exceptions (the '04 pistons, for example)

LeBron James impacts a game 10X as much as any quarterback could. He's one of five guys, plays a whole game if needed, contributes heavily in every area.

A quarterback plays half the game and even during that time he still relies more heavily on other people to do his job well. At most a QB has a direct impact on the game maybe 40 snaps out of the 130 snaps on average per game.

And Brees/Favre where the MVPs in 2009, the voters gave it to Manning because he was their "safe pick"

But it still counts right? Just like the all decade 1st team, which Brady won, is a legit accolade

He had as good a case as anyone for MVP that year under the criteria they vote for.

He had the stats (which could have been even better - he got pulled from game 15 after the first series in the second half, he got pulled from game 16 after the 1st quarter) and was 14-0 and had the 1st seed wrapped up before we decided the undefeated record wasn't important and rested him in game 15 and 16.

Lol. At stats.

Please tell me manning s stats in playoffs please. Smh.

Goat is goat.

More important than regular season.

Yes, mAnning goat regular season Qb. Good job.

I'll take countless pros word over a biased stat crazed homer.

Period.

No way Peyton in top 2 over Brady. No way.

And I like Peyton Better than Brady. Smh.

What?

"It's really a question without an answer. Manning has three MVP awards, but just one Super Bowl win. Brady has three Super Bowl wins, and just one MVP.

We'd argue to no conclusion if we started to debate the Manning-vs.-Brady merits. So NBC posed the question to the 20 living quarterbacks enshrined in the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

The results? Manning, in a landslide.

The Colts QB garnered 13.5 votes to Brady's 2.5, with four abstentions. Joe Montana split his vote between the two"

Lol.

Lol.

NBC huh??? Lol.

Countless pros.

You play to win, not to pad stats.

Period.

Brady made 5 superbowls.

Manning has made 3.

Brady winning percentage in superbowls .600

Manning winning percentage in Super Bowls .333

What good is stats if you can't get it done when in counts the most???

Smh.

I know you're a colt fan. You are knowledgable in foot ball.

But you are blinded by your love for the colts and making you look like a homer.

I like manning more than Brady. But come on bruh.

Bradys stats are close. Close enough that his SUPERBOWL appearances and wins out weight mAnning.
