Noah has 8 points, 5 rebounds in East’s NBA All-Star Game win
When it was an All-Star game, Joakim Noah couldn’t have been much more out of his element — the Bulls center was lost in a maze of fast-breaks, alley-oop dunks, three-point shots and virtually no defense.
But then it became a basketball game. And Noah became a factor. The Bulls center, a bit part in the first half, played a key supporting role to Kyrie Irving’s 31-point, 14-assist MVP performance that led the East to a 163-155 victory over the West in the NBA All-Star Game at Smoothie King Center.
‘‘It ended up being competitive. The game got close,’’ Noah said. ‘‘That’s when the fun usually begins.’’
