Whatever your opinions are of Trent, I think everyone would agree he's going to get a chance to shoulder the load this year. We also get Ballard back from injury.

Ballard, but Bradshaw may be brought back as a cheap backup.

Cosell on Bridgewater:

"The issue with Bridgewater is he's very slight. He's not a big body," Cosell said. "He's got a good, not a great, arm. Theoretically, he could make every throw, but making every throw when you have clean pockets is different than making every throw when you don't. He doesn't really drive the ball, Bridgewater. He's a bit of a short-armer."

Bridgewater has a fine build. Not ideal but nothing to be concerned about. His arm is also above average. Better than Bortles, Manziel worse than Carr's.

Roby is awesome. He was my favorite corner heading into this year.

He mentioned Bridgewater was playing around 188 pounds late in the year.

If that's going to be his playing weight, or anywhere around that really, that's a concern.

Theirs a difference between combine weight and playing weight. It was said he bulked up to reach a certain number, otherwise if he didn't and weighed in at what he played, it would raise questions and potentially impact his stock.

He's not going to carry an extra 20 pounds from one year to the next. If that was the case Vick would be 250 pounds by now.

He didn't look overly bulky or that much different from his playing weight. Surely he added some weight but not 30 lbs or anything.

Clowney had his pro day today. Looked like a beast.

I have a feeling he's going to Houston. The chance to pair him up with Watt is too enticing.

IMO a QB is just so much more important than a DE that you can't go Clowney if you are the Texans...as shown by the fact that the Texans have the greatest DE on the planet and can't win games

got to get that QB in place before anything else IMO

U don't just take a QB # 1 overall over all the other players in a deep prospect pool just becuz it's a quarterback, has to make complete sense for that particular situation.

I don't get the feeling Houston will be high enough on any of the QBs to take one first just because their fans are itching for a new face of franchise.

Seems like Coach O'Brien is really confident in his ability to develop a number of options, or at least help a guy overachieve until they find 'the guy' so the Texans probably don't feel obligated to use the first pick on one.

Then again, the consensus best football player in the draft just happens to play the same position as the best player on their team, also one of the best players in the league at any position.

Nothing wrong with having two absolute elite studs at either end but eventually, that's a lot of money tied up at one position.

Houston has many many things to consider. A QB guru head coach will be a lot more confident to find a capable starter at the top of the 2nd, 3rd or 4th round than most other head coaches whose team seems to lack the guy they think they can win consistently with.
