No one will ever win. It's a useless debate/discussion. Whisper it to my dog, please.

You have to look at the bigger picture with these technological advances. In the end, we are going to have less freedom because everything is going to be monitored; wars are going to be deadlier as weapons advance; medicine hasn't shown it really cures but only patches up the complications from the chemicals put in our foods. We are less social, less compassionate, and science does not have answers for ethics and morality ...

The negatives far outweigh the positives.

Our elders are the ones who ****ed everything up in the first place!

You should also provide proof of your claimed "facts" as well as clarification of buzzwords like "chemicals." People won't engage in debate if you do not put in the effort to have an honest one.

You're right, science is a discipline. That's all it is. It becomes a problem when it becomes an ideology. In fact, some people even created a religion to justify this ideology (agnosticism).

Why? It doesn't deal with human elements of ethics and creativity. What you see is already known, what you can't see can only be reach with imaginiation and reason, and it becomes dangerous when there are no ethical boundary put on its capabilities.

It goes back to my exercise thread where I suggested in order to change your body, you have to use your creativity to forge a mindset that alters the body. The scientists said I was wrong and that you should just exercise and diet.

An analogy I can use is someone building a house; the science is the nail, math, and hammer, but for him to even begin to build the house, he will need a blueprint.
