The moves didn't work out but you'd hope there would still be some flexibility to improve the team if they didn't. If the ownership gave AA last offseason but said "This it is. Nothing more." then totally blame AA. But that's hard to believe. There must have been some contingency plan for "what if all this doesn't work?"

is 35 really that old in baseball? Don't some of these guys play into their mid 40s? And yikes on trading youth for vets and backfiring.

Morrow, Dickey and McGowan all shit the bed vs the Twins. The TWINS! I don't care how cold it is, to have such shit starting pitching vs a team that is probably going to be one of the worst in the league in unacceptable.

nice to see.

EE's homerun was a beautiful thing to watch. Nice outing by the pitching staff, too (8 hits, 8 walks, 8 Ks, 3 runs).

So Dustin McGowan is friggin' horrendous. Even his one "good" start in Baltimore was filled with many loud long flyball outs. Not a big surprise but I guess we all had hope for a miracle with him.

I don't think he makes the next start. They can skip him next turn or replace him altogether. He's been bad. Relieving isn't a bad option for him.

I thought he was good out of the bullpen last year. They should give Happ a couple starts any way.

The offense is there since every big batters are healthy and crushing balls like they expect to, but they have to find solutions to the pitching staffs very soon.

Unfortunately it seems like McGowan probably bought himself another start to screw up. I don't think he was too good today but the results were solid.
