If Clinton Dix is still there I think the Bears take him there.

They have been missing a playmaker at Safety ever since Mike Brown's injuries cut short his career. But it depends on if we re-sign Tillman and/or Melton. Those impending decisions will impact our first round selection.

HA HA isn't worth 14th overall imo (neither is dennard). Would take him late 1st/early 2nd.

Default Re: Post Combine Mock.

If I were the Rams I'd def want to trade out of that 2nd spot.

I think the most obvious teams and deals would be:

Cleveland: Trade 2nd for Clevelands 4th and 26th.

Atlanta: Trade 2nd pick for 6th and two second round picks, or a future 1st round pick next year.

I would not trade up if I was the Browns. Keep those two picks. Falcons could move up and draft Clowney.

I would trade up if I were Cleveland if Teddy were still there at #2 (since I doubt he makes it past the Jags).

my first 10 mock was based around the rumors that the Browns like Carr...which is a bad move IMO, they should stop BSin on QB and just go for the best one they can get, but based around those rumors I have the Browns with Watkins and then Carr on their next pick

I'll happily take Donald, Hageman, or Nix. The Cowboys will need to replace Hatcher, so DT should be the main priority. I can see also them trading down for a guard or a safety, and I would be fairly content with that. My only worry is that Manziel falls to pick 16. I can't imagine Jerry and Garrett passing on him. Anyway, this offseason will be a nightmare for the Cowboys, so the draft is the only shot that we really have to obtain talent. Our salary cap situation is completely f***** thanks to Jay Ratliff.

good news the salary cap is expected to go up as much as $10 mill all the way to $133 mill total

this helps the teams that are having salary cap issues the most...and just gives everyone else some extra room.

I even read an article today stating we can may be able to actually resign Hatcher...I really just want to keep Ware though, he still has 3-4 elite years left IMO, and I would really hate to see him in another uniform

Hatcher is turning 32, so I'm not really that high on giving him a sizable extension. To make matters worse, the Cowboys will have even more dead money on the books after they release Miles Austin. Although the salary cap increase will definitely assist us in dealing with our cap issues, it will also help our division rivals snag more free agents. I hope that we can hold on to Ware though.

the free agents will be snagged up regardless of how much money teams have, so I don't view it like that really...now the FAs are just going to get MORE money

IMO the cap increase really helps teams like Dallas the most, it could be the difference between losing someone like Ware and keeping him

maybe would could throw a franchise tag on Hatcher...he might be perfect for that

Good point, I would definitely be in favor of tagging Hatcher.

unless bears management is absolutely in love with a certain player and are certain that he wont fall a little lower.. The bears best option would be to trade down.
