Default Three New 76ers

The 76ers Drafted T. Sefolosha then traded him to the Bulls for Rodney Carney and a 2007 2nd round pick and cash . They couldve drafted Marcus Williams but im happy with Carney, also they traded a 2007 2nd round pick to the wolves for F Bobby Jones and got the Bosnian player Edin Bavcic for cash from the raptors. Overall i like the Sixers new aditions. What do you guys think?

It's great but like ive been saying in all the other threads, i wasnt happy with the Carney pick. Wouldve really preferred Brewer which couldve been nabbed at 13 or if we still did the trade with Chicago, i wouldve like Marcus Williams at 16. With Williams, they could slide AI back to SG where he really fits. Carney has to show me something in the season for me to be convinced. I like the Bobby Jones pick tho, pretty solid indeed. Now with him i hope Billy King doesnt give crazy contract extensions to John Salmons and Willie Green.

Default Sixers Trade

"Iverson might be wearing Atlanta Hawks red this very moment (with free agent forward Al Harrington, in a sign-and-trade deal, and guard Josh Smith coming to Philly) if Atlanta's ownership situation wasn't so messed up, and there was one person definitely in charge down there." Philadelphia Inquirer

"With Iverson out of town, the Sixers would be a different team - one built, for the moment, around Webber's half-court skills. It would mean more shots for Andre Iguodala and more touches for Samuel Dalembert, and it may mean that John Salmons sticks around instead of leaving via free agency. It would mean that Kyle Korver has to play off Webber - which could work, if there's a point guard in town next season who can distribute the ball." Philadelphia Inquirer

. . .With this in mind, the Sixers would have an all around team with more athletic players and a deeper bench than last year. The Sixers’ players would get more touches than last year, with AI leaving, and Webber could be the playmaker of our team setting up plays and dishing out the ball to open players like Kyle Korver or players moving without the ball like a Josh Smith or Andre Iguodala.

Starting Five
C- Samuel Dalembert
PF- Chris Webber
SF- Al Harrington
SG- Andre Iguodala
PG- Kevin Ollie

Bench Rotation
C- Steven Hunter
PF- Josh Smith
SF- Rodney Carney
SF- Kyle Korver
SG- John Salmons

What do you think about that deal and how the Sixers would look next year???

Default Cont.

Along with the above deal, this off season we can find a season veteran point guard from free agency with the mid-level exception who is capable of shooting when needed to but can also pass and create shots for others.

How about trying to get Eric Snow back.

Eric Snow is great but he's too old and he's contract is not exactly something to smile about. Only PG id like in the free agency market is Speedy Claxton, he's a solid distributor and playmaker that can help the team.

Snow??? c'mon dude couldn't hit a wide open j if his life depended on it.

if/when they trade ai they better not have any holes to fill on the starting 5 when he's gone. They should only have to worry about depth on the bench. Don't give me snow or ollie at the point. They better have targeted guys who are players, not projects to come in and rebuild this team. Otherwise do not trade him!!

like carney and jones can...

these two guys are good for defense, but with the opponents collpasing on AI, there isn't a chance that AI can score and will put up mike james percentage

He's got an expiring contract. The Sixers would just let him off the books next season.

Philly has signed Bobby Jones by the way. Two years for rookie minimum, the 2nd year is an option. Just news on the sixers front. Link here.

i really want us to sign reggie evans, cuz with him bobby jones and carney, they all love to play defense and they will set a tone with our team. Our lineup would be very good with them:

pg:iverson, green, ollie
sg:carney, green, jones
sf:iguodala, korver, jones
pf:webber, evans, randolph
c:dalembert, hunter, randolph

thats definitely playoff calibur, if not 2nd round calibur IMO
