Paul George getting more FT attempts lately
Before the All-Star break, Pacers forward Paul George wasn’t the biggest supporter of NBA officiating. During games, he openly questioned plays on which he received contact but no trip to the foul line. However, in the first five games after the break, George has averaged 6.8 free throw attempts as opposed to 5.5 through the first 52 games of the season.
“Yeah,” George said when a reporter pointed out the increase. “Thank God.”
The bump up in trips to the foul line has not been by coincidence, but part of George’s bigger plan for the future.
