Mardy Collins, G, Temple/Knicks
Not going to be a star, but is a good building block for the rebuilding Knicks. I think the next Derek Anderson.
Randy Foye, G, Villanova/Timberwolves
I've seen him play a couple of times and I think it is possible he could be the ROY. He makes me think of a Jason Terry or a Dwayne Wade, although I don't think he would be that dynamic. The new face of the T'Wolves. I thought Jay Bilas was going out on a limb with this guy, but maybe he will be right. I'm not quite ready to say he will be as dynamic as Wade, though.
Brandon ROY, G, Washington/Trailblazers
He will be the Scotch tape that will try and hold the Blazers together. Love the pick, also love Rick Nash getting played with. I think Roy could be the next Paul Pierce.
Tyrus Thomas, PF, LSU/Bulls
He said he was going to market himself as an SF, but he will change his mind with the addition of Ben Wallace. He is already a great shotblocker, but his offense is very suspectable. I think he could fix that. He will be good for the transition game and will catch alot of oops from Kirk Hinrich. Reminds me of Stromile Swift, but hopefull he can develop a better offensive game.
Patrick O'Bryant, C, Bradley/Warriors
I first saw this guy while I was watching the NCAA Tourney on a cruise, and I've gotta say I was impressed. I think he could be a solid center in the league, and I think he will be even better than Andrew Bogut. I don't like to put this much emphasis on just one game but after that moment he only impressed more after the tourney was over, and I think he will fit in finely with the Warriors.
Honorable Mention: Saer Sene, who I won't see until after the apocolypse, Shawne Williams, a guy I thought could have been a top 5 pick had he stayed in school, Renaldo Balkman, Shannon Brown/Daniel Gibson, Kyle Lowry, and Maurice Ager, steal of the draft.
Busts, in order of draft position in 1st round: #4, LaMarcus Aldridge, who will give solid contributions but will not be the best he could be, #10, Saer Sene, #13, Thabo Sefolosha, he will be good but not worth moving up this high in draft, #15, Cedric Simmons, just have a bad feeling, #17, Shawne Williams, came out too early, #18, Oleksiy Pecherov, another international drafted too high, #30, Joel Freeland.
1) Rudy Gay
2) Rodney Carney
3) Andrea Bargnani
4) James "Flight" White
5) Adam Morrison
White could win this years slam dunk competiton hands down with a thru the legs from the foul shot, they should start sending in imports to challenge the nba players, i would love to see James White vs The Air UP THere
Hm's go out to - Sear Sene, Marcus Williams, Shawne Williams, and Patrick O'Bryant
