Good point. Its much different if a player is undrafted or waived and makes their way back up through the D-League than a player sent down to get a few games in. Those guys don't need to be worried about being called up by a team. Jeremy Lin's journey is much more impressive than Jones.

J. Watson, and Mike Wilks. Aside from these players, there are several successful NBA players who were assigned to the D-League in their first and second season, such as José Juan Barea, Brandon Bass, Andray Blatche, Avery Bradley, Aaron Brooks, Jordan Farmar, Shannon Brown, Marcin Gortat, Ramon Sessions, Jeremy Lin, Danny Green and Martell Webster.
