Default Detroit Pistons Draft Picks

Right now NBADraft.net has the Pistons taking Acie Law and Tyler Hansbrough. If they can get both of them, they have a solid future.

I think we should pick up Marco Bellinelli.

I think both of them will fit really well with this team

Tyler is a proven winner, has great work ethic and has been extremley consistent for NC, Acie Law has been compared to Chauncey Billups so it would be great if they drafted him and kept Chauncey as well, bcoz i know he can opt out of his contract.

The Pistons might not miss the playoffs for a long time. If they can get their PG of the future in either Dominic James or Acie Law for Billups' replacement and they can get a 3rd big man like Hansbrough in this draft they'll be set. Tayshaun/Rip are still in their prime/young and their frontcourt of the future is going to be nice with Maxiell/Johnson. Maxiell shows a lot of potential already and he's a pretty good shotblocker. From what I've heard Johnson has grown to 6'11'' or 7'0'' and he's torn up the D-League. Also C-Webb and Sheed are great guys for a young PF/C to learn from. Delfino can be their SG of the future I guess. I really don't see them falling off and they'll basically be contenders for a pretty long time.

Joe Dumars is probably the best GM out there.

Lol, seems like you're just ''settling'' for Delfino, I think maybe they could sign a good FA SG after Rip gets old/leaves.

I don't think Delfino can be a future starting SG. I don't think he will ever be capable of being a decent strater.

Unless UNC wins a title I doubt Hansborough comes out. If he was the type to just leave when he looked like a first round pick he'd have gone pro last year (and probably have been drafted higher than he would be this year). Seems he has bigger college goals than just impressing NBA scouts.

He could start for a few teams, but would be terrible. He's bench fodder and should go play in Europe.

whoever drafts Dominic James automatically becomes one of my favourite teams, so hopefully it's the Pistons.

The thought of seeing Rip and Dominic in the same backcourt is CRAZY!

Delfino isn't bench fodder. He's actually a pretty talented young player. I think he'll be a starter in the league eventually. He has size, athleticism, he defends really well, he has really good handles(ran the point for argentina some), can pass and is probably one of the best rebounding guards in the LEAGUE. Yes I said that. He can get to the rim too and he hustles for loose balls. His problem is that his outside shot is really inconsistent right now. Other than that he's very solid. I like watching him play. I don't think many non-Pistons fans know who he is.
