Default weight gain at the gym

the gym part is no problem. I'm doing fine and lifting heavier every session.

What's the best diet for weight gain?

Here is my diet:

Breakfast: Cereal or 2 eggs

Lunch: 2 cups of rice with chicken

4pm: cake

8pm: 2 cups of rice with chicken

10pm: fruit platter

just recently i added a glass of milk in the morning and at night hopefully that'll bring me results on the scale

what a ****ty dirt, no offense. Every meal you need protein, and good carbs (rice, oats fruit etc) Cereal isnt a good breakfast, have 6 eggs and some fruit. Cake at 4? haha, make 2 boxes of macaroni instead. keep eating lil playa.

Thats not enough food man...Try adding some whey protein to your diet. You for sure need to eat more in the morning.

I know how to gain weight...At the start of my senior year I weight 135...By February I weighed 173...Some of it was fat but still.I wasnt so skinny anymore.

Ill try to get some more info for you.

I'm a 3rd year dietetics student.

You should be looking to eat protein based meals when you wake up, immediately after a workout and right before you go to bed.

Red meat, Egg whites, fish and protein shakes/supplemants are probably your best sources of protein.


If you have an ectomorph body composition Your body may not be capable of weight gain so don't push yourself too hard.

Mesomorph= Lebron James
Endomorph= Tractor Traylor

wow. interesting stuff. so how much an ecto can expect to bulk up?

and any references or advice you could give? I know I'm going to have a couple of tough months, and I can't afford going weak through that. So how many times a day should I try to eat at least, and what must I include in my diet?

i'm 5'10 1/2 145 pounds. I want to bulk up because i'm underweight by about 10 pounds.

thats pretty terrible. No offense. here's a few pointers

for starters you should have a guideline of 1.5 times your weight in protein (EX 150lbs=225 grams protein a day)

Plus you need way more calories

i used to take weight gain... that stuff worked pretty good, i weighed 75 pounds and now i weigh 130.
