Default With The Heat Struggling w/o Shaq, Does This Prove They Would Be Better With LeBron?

I think is does. When you consider Wade led them to a .500 record at best, and LeBron has his team playing .600 ball. It's funny how people want to recklessly label Wade as the "best" but they caually forget the team's struggle this season without Shaq. Imagine if LeBron as siting at 25-25 at the all-star break.

Shaq/LeBron > Shaq/Wade

I think its obvious that Shaq and Lebron would make just as good if not considerably better 1-2 punch as wade and shaq.

it is very simply. a big man with moves will command a double tema, so with proper off the ball movement, you can get open shots and lanes to the basket all day long.

Heat:

Feed Shaq in the post. Make him post. If they go single coverage. Shaq will punish.

if they double, Shaq will find the open guy.

With competent shooters in Posey, Jones, Kapono (though he is injured) and capable guys to pop the midrange shot like Haslem and "all around guys" like Antoine Walker, how does this tema not get easy buckets off of that?

shaq could probably team up with any all-around wing player, the only reason he didn't win a ring in orlando was because of young age, lack of experience and a chitty coach.

Struggling? Check the stats.

Heat WITH Wade: 25-20 (.556)
Cavs WITH LeBron: 36-25 (.590)

Yeah, HUGE difference.

What specifically more could Lebron have done that Wade didn't? I'm asking genuinely because this type of speculation is so convoluted. The only thing I can think of is get a board or two more. Statistically Wade was doing more than any player in the league for his team, except maybe Dirk or Kevin Garnett (I'm basing this on NBA.com's efficiency ratings and PER totals). The fact that the team was only slightly above .500 in games he played and Shaq didn't is by no means his fault. And the fact that they are 7-2 (not 9-2) since he went down, shouldn't reflect poorly on him, as I mentioned before they had a 9-1 stretch without Shaq this year.

The Cavs have won without Lebron, which is meaningless, but I guess in the context of this argument it should be included.

Well the Heat without Shaq (and Wade) are an inferior team to the rest of the Cavs (without LeBron), so that argument doesn't really make much sense. That's like comparing the Mavs without Dirk to the Celtics without Pierce (to a lesser extent of course).

that is nonsense, shaq-less heat (with wade) have a supestar in wade himself, and pat riley as a coach, the cavaliers without lebron have who ? frigging larry hughes, big Z ? mike brown as a coach ? : cmon now.

That's not what I'm saying. You're asking what the Heat record would be without Shaq, but with Wade, and comparing that to LeBron's record. However, removing Shaq AND Wade from the Heat, and taking LeBron off of the Cavs, and LeBron has the much better supporting cast.

Say what you want about Hughes, but he's been playing wuite well lately, and is a main reason for the Cavs latest streak. Big Z is also extremely capable, Gooden's been playing quite well, etc. That supporting cast (even with the coach) is just plain better than JWill, Toine, Payton, Zo, etc.

again ,you got it wrong, my point was heat with wade and without shaq, compared to cavaliers with lebron, let's just remove shaquille o'neal from the equation to make it a fair comparison, im sure bron has a better record when he plays than wade does in the games shaq misses.

I know Bron has the better record. But without Shaq, he also has the better supporting cast. That's my point.

And I'm not trying to argue Wade > LeBron, because I don't personally feel that way.
