Wiggins put up pretty terrific stats once Embiid went down. Not sure what you were watching, unless you are focusing on KU's tournament loss.
Too lazy to look it up, but somewhere around the conference tournaments I remember a blurb during a KU game showing he was averaging ~22 ppg on 50/40/80 without Embiid. Probably dropped a little but it's not like he did horribly or even pedestrian.
Eh, I'm curious now.
41/8, 12-18 /2-5/15-19
TCU game on 2-15, then from 3-5 to the end.
=21.7 ppg and 5.7 rpg on .494/.360/.844
Not a great sample size, but the timing of those games (when teams are fighting to get in the tournament or for seeding) is the best timing you could judge any player on. Looks to me that when he was aggressive, he killed. Which has been his MO the entire time: Superstar when he plays the alpha role, can occasionally disappear, freak athlete, prototype size and length, needs to work on handle, potential to be an elite defensive wing, workable jumper. Same things people said about him during high school.
