Off the top of my head: Kobe and Nash are our only guaranteed contracts. I may be missing someone but feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.

All Laker fans knew we were tanking this season and before Kobe's extension we thought we might tank next year too. But his extension more or less told us how long we have him until he retires. We won't want to waste the last 2 years of his career tanking or being a fringe play-off team.

After the results of the lottery I expect us to draft one of Exum, Wiggins, Embiid or Parker if we get #1-#4. If we pick #6 or later then we'll probably trade the pick for a good player who won't be a free agent at the end of the 2015 season. We'll then attempt to sign marquee free agents like Love and re-do the 2013 season with pure starpower. Once Kobe retires we'll either have our young franchise piece or we'll have to trade/sign more players.

Lakers FO has said they won't sign a coach until after the draft

You know what's crazy? If Jabari or Wiggins stayed in college one more year there would be a chance for them to play on the same team! That would be insane.

Wiggins sucked during March Madness and was very average the rest of the year.

lol maybe...I just got #1 pick to Lakers. Also got 2 for Boston and 3 for Philly.....conspiracy theorists would be out in big numbers if that actually happened lol.

Wiggins is more of a complement star. He would do great on a team that already has a superstar. If those two were to be on the same team it would be amazing though.

Wiggins put up pretty terrific stats once Embiid went down. Not sure what you were watching, unless you are focusing on KU's tournament loss.

Too lazy to look it up, but somewhere around the conference tournaments I remember a blurb during a KU game showing he was averaging ~22 ppg on 50/40/80 without Embiid. Probably dropped a little but it's not like he did horribly or even pedestrian.

Eh, I'm curious now.

27/5, 8-13/2-4/9-10
9/4, 3-7/1-3/2-2
41/8, 12-18 /2-5/15-19
30/8, 9-17/3-6/9-10
22/7, 7-21/1-4/7-10
19/4 7-13/0-1/5-5
4/4 1-6/0-2/2-2

http://statsheet.com/mcb/players/pla...ins/game_stats

TCU game on 2-15, then from 3-5 to the end.

=21.7 ppg and 5.7 rpg on .494/.360/.844

Not a great sample size, but the timing of those games (when teams are fighting to get in the tournament or for seeding) is the best timing you could judge any player on. Looks to me that when he was aggressive, he killed. Which has been his MO the entire time: Superstar when he plays the alpha role, can occasionally disappear, freak athlete, prototype size and length, needs to work on handle, potential to be an elite defensive wing, workable jumper. Same things people said about him during high school.
