i can't speak for richmo, but my guess would be that RJ comes back with a chip on his shoulder after all the crap he's had to struggle through with his ankles the past year. and moore, as the pleasant surprise of the season, doesn't collect the midrange baskets that curly does but does pick up the hustle inside baskets that curly didn't. and kidd and vince, after putting up with an incredibly annoying and painful season, take out some of their frustration in the playoffs.
not to mention, the bench is stronger and more versatile than last year and the nets are much more dangerous shooting threes than in previous years.
the biggest question mark will be the defense IMO. it's almost certainly going to let us down at some point, but OTOH this is a veteran team who knows that if there's one time to bust their asses on defense, it's in the playoffs.
i don't see us winning the east, but we certainly have chances of showing the raptors who the boss is when it counts. not that that really means squat ...it's only the raptors, lol.
Why do you think that people will be scared to face New Jersey?
Because the playoffs is a different type of basketball than the regular season. It is more based on half court sets. The Nets have one of the top playmakers in the league. This is where I think the Raptors biggest weakness will be exposed. At the point guard.
There is not much run & gun in the playoffs. If you do try and run and gun you will get pummeled to the ground. The Raptors are young and athletic during the long regular season. The post season is not as focused on being athletic. You got to play smarter. The Nets have the edge on that one.
The playoffs need guys who can take over a game in the last minutes. We have three guys who can do this. Vince Carter obviously comes to mind. He can flat out score in a one on one half court set. This is huge come playoff time. The Raptors do not have that.Come playoff time he should be ready.
The return of Richard Jefferson is a ***** for other teams. Another huge scoring threat, awesome defender, good rebounder. People forget that the Nets have been playing without R.J.
Experience, Experience, Experience, The Raptors got none. Wait till they see what a difference playoff basketball is compared to the regular season. The Nets However, know a little somthing about the playoffs they have been doing it for years.
Veteran leadership goes a long way. J-Kidd, VC, Jefferson, Cliff Robinson (who is on this team for the playoffs) have all been there before. They know all about the pressure of playing in the playoffs.
Role players are getting better every game. Has Mikki Moore missed an 18 footer in his past five games? I don't think so. Boki Nachbar has blossomed into a tenacious offensive scorer. Marcus Williams can face pressure bringing up the ball in traffic when Kidd sits out. The Nets have not had that since the days of Anthony Johnson. Josh Boone needs to score a little more and get better hands but he is extrmely active and gets rebounds. This will help us more with playoff halfcourt sets. Oh yeah, and Eddie House? you don't think he's ready for the playoffs? This guy lives to shoot dagger threes in playoff situations.
That's why teams should be scared to face Jersey in a "Playoff" situation
Why would you guys feel good? this is the downfall of the Nets.
because you make us feel good. you bring us together and keep pointing out flaws in your team, even though you don't even realise that you're doing so.
btw what do you mean by "this" is the downfall of the nets?
what specifically is the downfall of the nets? when you say "downfall", it's supposed to be associated with something specific otherwise it makes no sense.
but if english is not your first language then don't feel bad. it takes time to learn.
what are you gonna say? I should start my sentences with capital letters? if correcting my mistakes is the only way you're going to get at me then have a good time.

For once, I'll admit the Raptors a pretty damn good team, but their downfall this year will be playoff inexperience, but they're a team to watch out for in the future.
Did they? hm i thought they were an 8th seed last year. my bad
Shows how much you know. 8th seed? More like 3rd seed.
Anyway, Raptors have little playoff experience and if they're lucky, they'll lose to the Bulls in the first round. Yeah, and if they're not so lucky, they'll get murdered. Bosh will choke, and all those rookies are going to flop in a playoff environment where you need experience and charisma. Savor the moment Raptor fans...because the streak's ending soon.
