Re: Little known NCAA players who you are impressed with so far...
Yeah im not sold on Neitzel. ANybody got any love for Antanas Kavaliauskas from TAMU? I love his hustle, not sure it will translate in the NBA, but if TAMU goes far in this tourney it'll be because of him as much as Law or Joe Jones.
Re: Little known NCAA players who you are impressed with so far...
Can you at least move this to the NBA Draft section? The point of this thread was to have a place to get info from other posters on guys that could be making themselves serious draft prospects.

Everybody knows Derrick Byars from Vanderbilt but Shan Foster has been almost equally as impressive this season. He put on a show against GW. He's a big 6-6 guard that can flat out shoot and defend. I don't imagine he'll come out this year but he'll be "the Man" in Nashville in his senior season next year and I think he can be a late first/early second round pick.

I was impressed with Budinger of Arizona although he didn't have a very good game. I know he isn't exactly "unknown" but he gets a lot less hype that Oden or Durant (obviously for a reason because those two are legit) but he seemed to have a good feel for the game and was very unselfish for a player his age. I think he might be the #3 freshman from the past year and he might just be ready for the NBA game right now.

The impact of the NBA's age restriction is on full display now. This is probably the strongest freshman class since Kevin Garnett started the "prep to pro" trend.
If Budinger played like he has in any season before the age restriction he'd be a front-runner for Freshman of the Year.

Umm we are talking little known players and Lofton is well known. How about Eric Maynor nails the game winner vs Duke, calm and cool under pressure. Daniel Hackett had a great game vs Texas, supposed to be a high school senior but didn't play like one scoring 20 points.
