Nah, look at the Mavs' draft record--Ager was gold from the moment he put on a Dallas uniform. The only thing better would be if they'd gotten him as an undrafted free agent.

The worst part will be when Ager is out there stopping Wade against the Suns.

Bah! The Suns could've picked up a great back-up and pupil for Nash, but they got cheap. That being said, I still think they'll be a title contender next year.

Are you serious about the whole Wade stopping crap? Mavs draft record is good, but there does not exist a Wade stopper short of hiring some guy to take out his legs. Ager didn't stop many players in his time as a Spartan. Dee Brown sent him to the floor this year while draining a 3 right in front of him. Not only that, Dee scored a career high 34 points. Yeah, defensive stopper my ass.

Underline=Negative Bold=Positive
Marcus Williams:

Born in Compton, LA; raised primarily by mother.

Won b-ball scholarship to CT.

Academically Ineligible his freshmen year

Sophomore year, improved drastically, became a top 20 pg or so in the nation (where Feltons, DeeBrowns, Chris Pauls ruled)

Added a very nice J to reportoire.
[u]Offseason prior to Junior, convicted of possessing laptops in attempt to exchange them in a pawnshop from cash. The laptops were from the female basketball team's dormitories.

He did not lie to the cop however, and confessed immediately.

Off the court, handled himself very well in interviews and was sincerely apologetic.

Though the punishment was not too harsh (one semester) ban he worked very proficiently into becoming an integral part of Uconn's starting lineup.

At times, gets cocky, smiles too much, and can be a bonehead.

Nonetheless, he has a very touch character and can drain the FT's while the fans around him chant "Where's my laptops" and resort to antics like that. Carried Uconn throughout the tournament almost singlehandedly.

Basically, he did a crime, he paid the little consequence, and I personally think he's improved his attitude since then. However, the past should not be forgiven, and in an unbiased situation I would say this guy is a felon, though he has come a long way since then. Something like Caron Butler, and maybe Iverson to an extent?

Jim Calhoun respects him and claims him as one of his favorite pupils. Lawrence Frank has put up with him for one day at least (Saw this on the Y.E.S channel)

Hardly "Character" issues. and why would Kidd be considered a "character" issue? The guy has some past crimes, but he plays maturely, efficiently, and with lots of intelligence, at least on the court.

Guys who would have "character" issues are the bums with no work ethic, and don't love the sport aka sellouts such as (Marbury, Francis, Steve Jackson to an extent, Chris Webber lol, etc.)

Non-athletic?? How do you judge this? By those combine results. Marcus is an average athlete and his gamestyle is much different and does not necessarily require athleticism. His strenghts are courtvision, passing, handling the ball, hitting the occasional jumper (DUH) I don't think a crazy vert would assist in that situation.

Fat.. I'm just laughing my azz off at people like Phoenix who are trying to relieve the pain by this. Yes he's eatin' them beans/rice/fried plantains but did you see how quickly he got into shape this past season. Didn't start practice until late December, and by February was real fit, played pretty much the most minutes out of anyone on the roster.

Dude can run the break whenever the ***** he wants if you've watched it in the past. Ever wonder why the Uconn team had a real high scoring average, cuz of fastbreaks and more possessions per game (a la Suns) Guess who leads that? Yea..
