He's a boxer who has eaten enough leather over the years. Was never known to be the brightest bulb in the bunch.

Evander is known to not be the smartest as it was. Then he got pounded in the noggin' about 10 thousand times.

He is gonna be a total wreck by his early 60's. I don't think he'll even be able to talk.

Almost made this topic myself a week ago. I'm surprised that we aren't constantly hearing about hgh/steroid scandals in the world of pro fighting. Bigger, stronger, faster, and increased aggression? There's no kind of sport where the advantages of juicing up are more clear.

HGH is not going to do anything for you on it's own.

Most pro of the cheats don't just take HGH/steroids/whatever, they take them and use them to enhance their training regimen.

Who cares?

Do you realize how long you need to take HGH before it actually kicks in? Its mostly used for recovery, endurance, and such. For what it does, its highly effective, and extremely safe. You can hear a lot of doctors and scientists say that if there was one hormone that they would use the hell out of, it would be HGH because it has so many positives, and very few negatives.

Pretty much everybody in Hollywood is on it. I'd say a vast majority of upper echelon athletes are using the stuff because its effective and has very few actual side-effects. Mostly none if you are not dosing it ridiculously.

In this day and age, I fail to see why HGH is a major issue anymore. If you think that there is a boxer out there, a top-level guy, who isn't using this stuff, you are crazy, so the notion that it messes with "competitive balance" is a joke.

There are also quite a lot of boxers who have used/are using steroids, and if you think its strictly the bigger guys, you are mistaken. Even the little welterweight's are using them for improved recovery and increased intensity. To me at least, these media "drug" witchhunts are old. When a guy is taking crack or heroin, that is one thing, but HGH, gimme a break.

Yeah, just little things like abnormal bone growth, diabete, irregular heart beats...oh, and your pituitary could shut down. Big deal.

Simple: If an athlete has to use a dangerous supplement to keep up with his peers then it's a problem. These guys should not have to destroy their bodies to stay in their sport...especially a sport like boxing, in which you're destroying your body anyway.

Oh geez, not another drone.

Um.......yea, and taking Tylenol could can be hazardous to your liver and kidney's if you take enough of it. HGH has been used for years in anti-aging therapy and the reports of adverse effects are around like 0.000004%.

The only time negative side-effects are reported is when some exceeds the regular dose, that is, instead of taking 1 or 2 IU's p/day, they exceed 20 or 30.

This is one of the most highly studied compounds anywhere. If you are at all educated on its proper uses, proper dosage and nutritional protocol to go along with it, one can safely use HGH for years without so much as a negative blip on their health. In fact, your immune function will be boosted, your skin and hair will be greatly restored, your muscles and joints will recover and remain healthier overall, your digestive process will be more efficient and you will retain less fat, thereby preventing the onset of obesity, which is the real major killer.

Also, you should know that HGH is being used to treat diabetes, or at least to improve the quality of life in diabetics, so I think its time for you to go and read up.

I also think you are confusing the use of HGH, with the use of insulin, which is the culprit most responsible for leading to diabetes in individuals who are not hypoglycemic.

Quote:
A study done at John Hopkins about the effects of human growth hormone on blood glucose supports the idea that when elderly people have low human growth hormone they also have more intraabdominal fat and their insulin acts less well.

In this situation they have a tendency to have high blood sugar. If these elderly people are given HGH therapy correctly, rather than excessively, their blood sugar levels should improve rather than worsen.

Thierry Hertoghe, MD, who specializes in hormone replacement therapy in Brussels believes that human growth hormone helps to promote the action of insulin. He believes that because HGH helps to direct the insulin to put glucose into the muscular cells, cardiac cells, and nerve cells, rather than the fat cells of the body HGH may actually help to improve diabetes.

Greg Fahy, Ph.D., of the Naval Medical Research Institute has stated that he may have discovered a method to possibly cure adult-onset diabetes using HGH. He has stated that his own experiments have shown that human growth hormone is very beneficial for diabetes.

HGH is not a dangerous supplement, its a substance that your body produces naturally. Ironically enough, the use of HGH actually prevents the same "destroying of the body" that you are talking about.

People confuse 'Roids' with HGH.
