Default Who Wins a 7 Game Series Between The Suns And Mavs, Minus Dirk And Nash?

I really don't want you all out there to think I'm on some sort of Nash smear campaign, but the amount of fanfare and acclaim he gets in comparison to the rest of the league is just flatout out of hand.

Now tell me who wins a series between Phoenix and Dallas without the two stars? For all the talk about how Nash "carrys" his team, IMO, the Suns would be the clear favorite going into that showdown. And Amare's 41 points on 16 shots proves that, obviously.

You see, this here thread is just another example on how much of a skewed view the media trys to promote Nash with. It's just rediculous at this point. Now don't hate me cause I and a lot of other people are are tired and fed up with this media circus that hovers at the mere mentioning of Nash's name. Yes, he's a great player, but he not THAT great. And he's certainly not THREE STRAIGHT FREAKING MVP'S greater than anyone in this league. The quicker everyone can realize this, the quicker everyone can appreciate him for what he is.

both teams, contrary to popular beliefs, aren't contendors without their mvp's, i do think though the suns are more capable a team AND D'antony is more capable a coach to win the series.

suns in 7.

again, another nash hating thread that will fail miserably, why keep bothering ?

With Dirk gone, Dallas would be better off defensively. How many pts did Dirk allow in the game??!??? Dirk is Seven feet tall, why can't he guard Amare.

DAntoni is not a good playoff coach...he can only coach one way. His only adjustments are to say "run faster"

with a healthy amare they can pick-and-roll all night long, the mavs are clueless when it comes to guard that, plus dallas can't do anything against amare, he'll burn them, destroy them, embarass them, and win his team the series.

if it happened tomorrow i think the mavs win because they are more versatile and not totally predicated on one man's ability to get everyone else involved. if they had a season to prepare, i'd say the suns because they have more talent and have been in a strong position if they instituted a different offense.

Against the Lakers, he adjusted against the inside play of Kwame and Odom. He was the coach down 1-3 to a Phil Jackson led team. How many times Phil lost in the first round, 1 (vs D'Antoni), when his team are leaidng in a playoff series, 1 (vs D'Antoni).

nash is the engine in the suns' offense. without him, they just don't run.

dirk is a huge component in the mav's system, but they don't need him as much as the suns need nash.

mavs minus dirk >> suns minus nash

The Suns team is so loaded it makes life so easy for both Nash and Amare.. you don't ever see Amare or Nash getting doubled.. Dirk doesn't have that luxury..

Simple, he's an European player. European players' strength lies in their offensive prowess and team play. European players are usually not the best defenders. Doesn't matter how tall they are.
