Ty Lue didn't start last year and he's not going to start next year. Lue has backup talent, and plays best as a backup. Good god I hope BK can come through on finding a PG this summer, if he does, we'll do just fine this year.

But you will have to agree that this year if we didn't make a move Lue would start and Ivey is probably not on the roster..unless he kills in summer league.

no. It would be the same as last year. Someone (Ivey? Grundy? *sigh* Salim?) would start, and Lue would still come in as a backup and get the bulk of the minutes.

He's a free agent, that's why I didn't list him.

I am assuming he will come back, even as a backup.

Default Roy will be happy in Port.

Brandon Roy is going to be near his home territory, and so will love having his family being able to see his games.

He's also good friends with Portland's #6 pick last year, Martell Webster.

Portland's obviously bad, so should see lots of PT, and make his mark.

In conclusion, I think he's probably pretty happy overall about where he's going....

Lue is under contract.

Do you follow the hawks at all?

If the Hawks had drafted Roy, they could have then moved to a triangle style offense where the ballhandling duties are shared among the different wing players.

Foye would have been a nice pickup as well.

But the Hawks have struck out the last two summers in terms of getting a big, so BK had to go for Williams, who was the best available.

The Hawks still need to get some height behind Pachulia and Sheldon, so maybe they will give a low end deal to Olowokandi. Yea, he sucks, but for 8-10 minutes he can provide some height inside. And beggars can't be choosers.

Hopefully the Hawks can then find a shooter off the bench. Keith Van Horn at 2 years, $6 million wouldn't be bad.

If the Hawks go and get a point guard, I am hoping they target Speedy Claxton with say 5 years, $25 million (yes that is overpaying him, but that is market value and beggars can't be choosers).

And hopefully the Hawks can then get something of value in return for trading Al Harrington.

I saw on another board that he was a free agent.

No need for you to be an ******* always.

It's a tough call...I want to say Roy, but if Shelden can turn into a rebounding and shot blocking beast, then it could turn into Shelden's favor. Roy will be put in a situation where they have a new starting line up each game while the Hawks atleast have guys like Joe Johnson, Josh Smith Zaza to start. As well as Childress and Marvin Williams solid off the bench. It's a better situation in Atlanta for Shelden...Plus didn't Atlanta lead th eleague in offensive rebounding? They were monsters on the boards if I remember.

At his peak, I see Shelden being with 13-15 ppg, 11-12 rpg and 2.5-3 bpg, but this year I see him being with 9-11 pp, 8-10 rpg and around 2 bpg. I'd live with that. As long as someone our team plays some defense in the paint then I'd be happy. There were too many Hawks game where people would drive down the lane uncontested, especially in the 4th quarter.

i think Roy will do good in Portland. He will get ample time with somewhat a local cat in town the more they play him the more tickets they will sell and everyone knows portland NEEDS that. Remember when Roy 1st came to UW the team was a .500 team and eventualy became a legit team. So i think he is somewhat use to this situation and give the blazers a couple years and there be going deep in the playoffs hopefully......

Plus have his family and friends it town will help keep him up also have a local Coach like Mcmillan and Martell Webster on teh team will help keep him positive.
