The players are very similar except one important facet. Balkman refuses to go out and don't get a steal and a block in the same game. And no matter how many minutes he plays they are effective

Rebounder- Balkman

Ball Handler- Balkman
Ariza didnt want to start at times for Larry Brown becuz he was scared and didnt feel comfortable (i think we were play the Clippers). Ariza did start some games and he never seemed comfortable. Ariza is not a tough guy u hit him once and he backs down.
Balkman looks too high to notice him getting hit . He has a great attitude and backs down from no one.
By the way he has dreds...so he automatically wins lol
The only thing Ariza could do was dunk, other then that he was an ok defender and a liablity on offense. Balkman at least can run the fast break and is much more aggressive then Ariza. Balkman is also more physical and is already better then Ariza ever was or will be.
He's a slasher and knows how to get inside while the other team is standing around making believe they're playing defense.
I wish in the off season he really works on his free throws and short range jump shot. If he does that he will be our starting 3 if Lee can't handle the three.
He's better than Jefferies, but I'm liking Jefferies better now.
this is a good question. i wasnt that happy when the knicks traded him. trevor is a good player but i would take balkman. he plays with ALOT of energy and he's just as athletic as trevor. but i do think that trevor is more skilled though.

After today's game against the Raptors I REALLY have to agree you with you. The whole time he played he was extremely effective. EXTREMELY. In my opinion he is way ahead of what Ariza was at this point of Ariza's career with the Knicks. Way ahead.
Balkman doesn't do anything he isn't capable of. He has quickness, very good defender, and he attacks the basket. i wouldn't change his game at all. What i like most is that even if he goes games without playing, when he hits that floor you know you will get positive energy. He does alot for a 6'7" SF. I thought he was taller but I have had the pleasure of meeting him and we exactly the same height. I hope he turns out like a Richard Jefferson-type(hopefully without the injuries).

I really was referring to him as far as his efficiency. not necessarily the points he brings. But his overall production with the minutes he gets. in that aspect he reminds me somewhat like RJ. They both do alot on the court that don't always show up in a statsheet.
