I agree with VC's List, Francis is just playing pretty well right now, when it's all set and done we're going to miss Ariza. I love ariza as a player he was a hard worker and had good D but balkman will make me lose those memories of him. Renaldo is the real deal.
Terrible, because Francis and Marbury are the same player (moody, shoot first point guards, with bad attitudes and bad contracts) and we already have Crawford. Plus, it screwed the cap beyond belief.

Good, Q-Rich is almost worth what we're paying him and Nate is very quick defensivly although he really doesn't mesh because he's another shoot first pg.
Tim Thomas, Michael Sweetney, Tyrus Thomas and 1st Round Pick For Eddy Curry and Antonio Davis
Heres where I differ from everyone else, I think this was a bad trade. I would rather have Tim Thomas, Tyrus Thomas and our pick this year. Eddy Curry is now being exposed because it is clear he can't handle a double team. At the time of this trade, Curry couldn't complete a physical because of his heart problems, that was also a red flag of why i wouldn't have made that trade.
Tyrus Thomas could be the next Shawn Marion, he has the length, the speed and he has a tremendous nose for the ball on defense (look at his recent blocks and steals numbers). Pair him with Balkman and you have some defense, which we don't have.
Antonio Davis For Jalen Rose and 1st Round Pick
Not good, not bad. When is this pick? did we already make it?
despite the fact that you get balkman in a deal, having to buy out a player making 15 mill a year kinda says bad trade from the get go. if it wasnt maybe we should just trade for huge contracts and buy them out and consider that we didnt lose anything
Bad.....we could have dumped the money and if we really needed to we could have moved Ariza for maybe a draft pick(even a second rounder). Plus Francis just clutters the selfish backcourt we have already

I say toss up, only because of David Lee. Lee can fill some of what Thomas provided in the rebounding category, although he does not have the jumpshot down yet, and we will see how the toughness develops. Q-Rich when healthy is nice, but nothing special because of his injury history.

Well this trade has a lot of history because of Tim Thomas. We should grade the trades made to acquire Tim Thomas first. This trade is also a toss up. We got rid of a bunch of average/underachiever players, and we did get Curry, but where this trade is bad is because we overpaid. Nobody wanted Curry he had serious health issues and we gave up 2 1st rounders and picked up an expiring contract. Noone else was willing to give up that much, so we overpaid which is never a good thing.

Bad - basically just flushed money down the drain on this one.
