Default Build around J-O'Neal and Peja S., or rebuild?

How do you feel about the combo of Jermaine O'Neal and Peja Stojakovic?

Obviously they didn't get much time together last season. What are your thoughts on the two of them together on the floor next year?

I think it's time to blow it up and rebuild.

Keep Granger and start from scratch.

keep Granger Tinsley and O'Neal... trade Peja and maybe Anthony Johnson for a good SG, like Ben Gordon or Jason Richardson... then get a good let O'Neal dominate the paint both offensively and defensively, so no need for a very strong Center, but they can try to get a smaller Center like ZaZa or Lorenzon Wright... so we'll have something like this...
C-ZaZa/Wright
PF-O'Neal
SF-Granger
SG-Gordon/Richardson
PG-Tinsley

don't worry about the bench yet, there are those rookies...

ya it would be good if they can get Gordon. I dont know much about his contract but im sure, if not already, its going to be heavy. But then again, Austin Croshere's contract is done at the end of this year and he has a big contract thats about to expire, and im sure that the Pacers are looking to lock him up longterm again!

they shouldn't give Austin such a big contract, since he isn't contributing ALOT off the bench... maybe sign him for long years at low cost... say 3M a season... currently he costs 8M a season, don't forget, he's getting old... they should free up some cap-room if they wanna sign Richardson... he may be going to the free-agent market... GSW may not be re-signing him... unless they wanna release Murphy... only one will stay...

O'neal is a keeper but peja juss doesn't look right in indy
indy is mainly a half court team where peja should be in a run and gun team like sac where he excels.

Peja is an old man. He's better in the halfcourt than on the open floor. I'd keep going with O'Neal and Peja if I were them. Bird seems to be good at drafting at the end of the 1st round, so the youth will be there for them when it's time to actually rebuild five years from now.

i say, keep JO and let peja go. I would love to see them let go of Peja, and pick up Al Harrington, and since Bender's contact is now down, they have another 8 million saved from that. I would love to see Joel Przyilla or Nazr Mohammed come to Indy also, that would help JO out a lot, and let him return to his natural PF position...

PG - Tinsley/Johnson
SG - Jackson/Fred Jones
SF - Al Harrington/Granger
PF - JO/Croshere
C - Nazr Mohammed or Przyilla/Foster/Harrison

Default trade O'Neal!

I Think The Pacers Should Trade O'neal, And Get A Chance At Adam Morrison. I Believe He Could Be The Next Larry Bird. I Believe Oneal Has Proven That He Can Not Be A Team Leader, And He Can't Stay Focused Enough In Games. Likes To Argue Too Many Calls While The Game Is Still Going On.

Aren't You Tired Of All Those 70 Point Games? The Fever Are Scoring More Than The Pacers This Year. I'd Like To See A Run And Gun Team.

just because the pacers arent scoring more than 70 points a game that doesnt make them a bad team. Pistons, Spurs, and Indy have the same system, which practices defence first. They are a defensive minded team, and play in the half court. Pistons averaged about 91.7 points per game and the Pacers averaged 89 points per game, which is a difference of about 2 points per game. I think the main reason for the lack of success for the Pacers is the past 2 years is because first the Ron Artest brawl in Detriot and then all the injuries this past season (with Tinsley and JO) and then the Ron Artest drama again!! I think if the Pacers can remain healthy and pickup a few keys guys, like Pryzilla and Al Harrington, they should be good for next season!!

PG - Tinsley/Johnson
SG - Jackson/Fred Jones
SF - Al Harrington/Granger
PF - JO/Croshere
C - Nazr Mohammed or Przyilla/Foster/Harrison

i think Croshere is better off a SF, and Harrington as a PF, he's taller and longer, that really gives him an advantage near the rim...

and why Peja for Harrington???!!! Peja is sooooooooo much better!!! maybe Peja and Foster for Harrington and ZaZa, then no need to sign Przyilla or Mohammed!

PG-Tinsley/Jasikevicius (don't forget him)/Gill
SG-Fred Jones/Johnson (he's better off a SG, he's not good with his ball handling, too many TO)
SF-Granger/Jackson (He'll get less playing time as a SG, but he's interchangable...)/Croshere
PF-O'Neal/Harrington (Great back-up)/Pollard
C-ZaZa/Harrison (this kid's got future!)

first off, Eddie Gill probably wont be with the team next year, and i doubt Pollard will be either. Both their contracts are up and I dont see the Pacers signing either one of them. With Harrington on the team, theres no way hes coming off the bench, again. That was why he initially left pacers.

If Al Harrington returned, they could play Jermaine O'Neal at C, Harrington at PF, Peja at SF

O'Neal can handle most centers
