You're right. I must have imagined all the people I talked to tonight and on a daily basis.
Just ribbing you, man. I never understood the higher, to be honest. He seemed the type of higher to get you through sanctions/scandals then you go get the actual coach that can actually win significantly.
rewatched the fsu game. at least the edit, which is all plays without the commercials/commentary.
- o-line disappointed but not as bad as i thought on first viewing. erving was actually pretty bad which is crazy since he's supposed to be one of the most dominant lineman in the country and a top prospect that gained muscle. was it the flu? idk, but he had a super sub par game getting beat to his spot
barron wasn't as bad as i thought. prob a bit above average at best and he did have some mental mistakes and even got laid out on his back, but he held his own okay.
they did an awesome job of pass protecting. just couldn't get a great push on the run game.
this is still a great o-line, just not maybe historically elite like 2012 bama
- casher needs to come back. not only is he a good candidate to have a breakout season in a need position, he's also a domino effect. when casher is in, mario edwards jr can get a rest every now and then. they can also move him around more. we need casher to set the edge and allow nls to get in shape
- i'll say it again...our punter sucks ass. he needs to start rugby kicking that shit. he's legit averaging less than 35 yards a kick. we won't ever pin an opponent inside the 20 w/ that sort of kicking. i have this strange feeling he's going to cost us field position in a game we lose. he is historically bad...i will celebrate the day he graduates, i may even throw his grad party
- may have been winston's worst game at fsu. bad decision making, the sideline pass to greene INT especially. he got happy feet in a safe pocket at times as well, which is odd. also held the ball too long on a sack but this is going to be one of his criticisms going as a prospect going into the NFL unless he makes a drastic improvement. also his slightly slow delivery. this stuff is fixable though. i think he has that 'it' factor. i'm not being a homer in saying i would easily take him over mariota, but i digress
he showed that he's not comfortable w/ the current receivers other than greene. that said, bobo and rudolph should be hitting full stride here in the next three weeks and i think they're going to be the #2 and #3 receivers. when that happens, that's going to leave whitfield opportunities in space and you don't want to leave one of the fastest players in the nation open.
greene will go down as an all-time fsu great and should have his name enshrined somewhere. amazing accleration. so consistent since he got here. leader by example. silent killer.
