Warriors must focus on defense more than ever
LeBron James has spoken, so forget about the Warriors swinging a desperation deal for Kevin Love before the Aug. 23 deadline. The Cavaliers and Timberwolves have an agreement, orchestrated and approved by the King, so there's no turning back. Instead, focus on what this deal means:
-- For the Warriors, it has to mean relentless, tough-minded defense. They backed off Love to keep Klay Thompson as a two-way force in the backcourt, and defense wins championships. When they utilize Thompson, Andre Iguodala, Andrew Bogut and Draymond Green at the same time - perhaps even subbing Stephen Curry for Shaun Livingston on certain possessions - they'll definitely have it covered.
