Sam isn't going to go to the media as long as his career is still going because it'd hurt his chances making rosters/sticking on them, nobody else is going to risk there careers speaking out on it. NFL will do PR control to the best of there ability with everything else.

Michael Sam might not even be the kinda guy to speak out either. I'd be interested to see what he has to say after his NFL career is officially over. If he'll write a book years from now and really give people a in depth look. I think that option would probably be there.

I bet some team picks him up. Rams just had a lot of line depth and he showed more than enough in preseason for someone to grab him. I think most NFL teams have coaches or cultures that would be good for him.

He would fit in beautifully with the Cowboys, in many ways.

They could use the front 7 depth and Tony was getting sick of Demarco Murray being the only sweaty black man behind him when he was crouched over.

Demarco is already prepared for Sam to join the team.

Sam would make a good cowboy, since that franchise is so gay.

So Sam isn't even on a practice squad. I'm sure that every team could come up with a valid reason but can we really doubt that there are teams that didn't give him a shot because he's gay?

i read some speculation that teams dont think he is worth the media circus that will come along with him. its like having tebow, is a bench player really worth that much distraction?

wow Rams have confirmed that Sam didn't even make their practice squad

sorry Niko, but to me that is evidence that there was locker room drama...not making the team is one thing, but not making the practice squad is another.

also Tweets going around of "sources" confirming that GMs are scared of his media attention...already ready some saying the NFL is pushing gay players further in the closet now.

this is a bad look for the NFL...someone needs to sign him or it will be seen as "no gays allowed"

i think its more espn that is pushing gays in the closet than the NFL. if espn did not feel the need to talk about michael sam every 30 minutes, he would probably be on a team right now.
