Arrow Game Thread: Miami Heat @ Toronto Raptors

Major injuries for both teams so no excuses. Wade out, Garbajosa out, Bargnani out and Juan Dixon may be out too. This may be the biggest game of the season for both teams cuz whoever wins gets a game lead over the other for the 3rd spot in the East. This is gonna be a very hard fought game and it's going to come close at the end and hopefully my Raptors can come out on top. And hopefully Rasho plays 30+ minuets and Mo Pete plays 25+ too.

Let's do this for Garbo!!!

I predict Parker sprains his ankle again and has to be stretchered off.

Heat playing real team ball with Shaq in the line-up... no knock on Wade, but when he was playing w/o Shaq, it was alot of Wade doing everything and others standing, but now it has changed... more team ball... This will be a very tough game for the Raps to win, especially since the Raptors have a tendency to give up uncontested 3's and easy drives to the bucket... everything in between is still kinda unclear of defense...

You do remember that Sam Mitchell is still the coach right?

This pretty much ensures that Joey Graham will guard Shaq for at least 5 minutes.

Mitchell knows that Shaq isn't agile enough to drive by Graham.

BC will probably make GM of the Year.

but as for this game, it's a toss up. Miami has the odds on its side, but you never know with these wily Raptors if their shots off of broken plays will fall or not. let's see if Rasho can defend Shaq as well as Kwajo claims.

I actually don't know how well Rasho will defend Shaq, I'm curious too. Rasho has exceeded my expectations against a great many post players this year (forcing them out of their comfort zones, contesting shots, using good footwork to stay in front of them) but Shaq is a lot to handle, so we'll have to wait and see what happens. I'm excited though.

I very much doubt Rasho can handle Shaq even remotely. Not a knock on Rasho, Shaqs just too much of a load.

The Raps need to just win enough games to wrap up the division and stay healthy until Bargs gets back. It doesnt really matter if they play Chicago or Miami in the first round. Either will tough series to win.

Tonights game is Miami's if Shaq has a good game. Raps will miss Garbo more than anyone thinks...

Lets hope they can get a matchup with Washington instead and let the other two duke it out. I wouldn't mind playing Miami without DWade. Hopefully the quickness (can tire out Shaq by running) and the outside shot by Bosh and Rasho will open up the middle for the Raps. Also want to see Jackson get a shot tonight.

Not all the raps fans are knocking Sam, he's a young coach but he's going to be really good about the time the raps get good.

As for the game, I'd call it a toss-up because the raps are at home, in Miami I'd take the heat in a heartbeat....

How many fouls do you think Rasho, Pape, Uros & gang can accumulate on Shaq???

Will Toronto be playing ANYONE who was on their roster a month ago, before they all broke in half?

In reality the only player that will be missing come playoff time is Garbajosa (assuming no one else tries to go for a stupid block that is guaranteed to get them on a poster).

Considering we've had success with our better players out for stretches, i think toronto can find a way to be competitive.
