Re: If The Rockets Want To Be Champs, This Is What They Have To Do !!!!!
A reason IMO that has made the Rockets successful this season is the fact that they dont have to have every one playing playing great to win games.
If Yao is off, Tmac and company can usually make up the difference. Same thing goes when Tmac is off. When Rafer Alston is off, we have other guys that can fill the gap. Unlike the one-man teams of McGrady's Magic or current Kobe's Lakers, if our star is having an off night, others can compensate.
Oh yea, trading Yao is a foolish suggestion, especially one that'll improve the team.

That's stupid? Why trade the best elite Center at 7'6" for a future 6'11" Center who loses like 7 inches in height. I bet he wont even reach the 25 10 mark where Yao is close at.

Yao Ming, from an owners point of view, is the most untradeable player in the NBA, because of the amount of sales in merchandise he probably brings in for the franchise from around the world.

To Be champs, we need to break Dirk's legs, punch Nash into a coma, trip Tim Duncan over and we'll be in the NBA Finals. Why bother with trade ideas?
But seriously, that's the worst proposal I have ever heard. Trade Yao when he hasn't even reached his peak? HAVE LUTHER HEAD RUNNING THE POINT ? That's not going to happen. The best thing we can do if hope Les Alexander spends some cash this offseason to get an above-average point guard, Steve Blake hopefully.
