Default Blazers gave up on Telfair too soon...

I definately think Portland gave up on Sebastian too fast. He would only be a junior in college this year if he attended and was hurt much of last year. I definately think he's much better then Jarret Jack. Guess it's better for the Celtics.

I don't think he will amount to anything. At least not what Rudy Gay will turn out to be, which is who Boston could have had.

Yeah but Memphis came up only giving up Battier for Gay. I still think Telfair's gonna be nice. I'm not saying superstar but a solid starter at least.

I think people give up on young players too much. We're so impatient that we don't want to stop and think. It takes a while for a point guard to learn the NBA game after playing college ball, and Bassy came straight out of high school. Considering that I think its impressive that he can give you 10 and 4 right now. Give the man a while to actually learn NBA ball and I still see him being special

---------------------------------

AGREE OR DISAGREE: Bassy is a better prospect than anybody taken pick 8 or afterward.

Personally as much as I like Gay I agree, think about, they graduated from high school the same year. In the same draft that Bassy went 13 in Gay was projected to go mid-to-late first round.

as far as pgs? yes. I think he's gonna be better than Foye or whatever, Roy. And the Celtics don't need anymore swingmen at all.

Not just point guards think of this as regardless of position just who is a better prospect.

Well Gay, and in that draft that may be it for me. But like I said, the Celtics don't need anymore swingmen.

I don't think Williams is any better than him and he's out of shape (overblown deal, but still) Telfair has shown some great potential in the actual league and he's younger.

I think they never should've drafted him in the first place.

maybe they just like roy better, ever thought of that? just becasue they dealt him dont mean they totally disregard his ability and progress, they know you have to give up to get.

I think the fact that he was already having problems with the law may have made management a little less patient with him.

They got Randy Foye, so it's not like they just switched him for Dan Dickau straight up. It might not be a situation where they decided he'd never be any good, they may just have decided that Foye is going to be too good to not go after. Foye certainly looked great in college.
