I don't like this trade from Toronto's perspective. T.J. Ford is a good player, but his health is a huge question mark. You could've done better. Villanueva is a very good young player many teams would want on their team. It should be fun to watch him play an open court game.
The Bucks get a young PF to play alongside Bogut. Interior defense is a huge problem, but Bogut and Villanueva will get better. In my opinion, the Bucks are the winner of this trade.
Wow. What a deal. This is perfect for the development of Bargnani, he can take over Charlie's spot. I knew something was up, we had too many forwards. Good deal for both teams (I think...not sure how Buck fans feel).
WTF?! Top five pure point guards? Watchin' to many highlight reels and not enough entire games. There's a big reason Ford was shipped.
Who do you think you're talking to? TJ led the Bucks to the playoffs during both the seasons he played, and put up very decent stats while doing so. He's a special player, and you'll see it with him up in Toronto.
I laughed at Toronto fans all summer long for saying that they were going to play Phoenix style ball when they didn't have any of the 3 or 4 point guards capable of leading it. Now the joke's on me.

This trade is also about Colangelo getting control of the locker room away from Sam Mitchell.
BC got rid of Eric Williams, Matt Bonner and Charlie Villeneuva, and now he brings in his own guys - Barghnani, Nesterovic, TJ Ford.

They have the athletes in Bosh, Mo-Pete, and Grahm as well, what they lack is shooters.
Who can shoot the 3-ball besides Mo-Pete? Bargnani had better pan out or the Raptors are not making the playoofs.
Wow, I knew something was brewing but this is a big deal.
I think it's a VERY good trade for both teams. This gives the Bucks Bogut's future frontcourt partner and the Raptors finally get their starting PG. The Bucks will probably look to keep Mo Williams now while the Raptors open up some room for Joey Graham and PJ Tucker (whether that's a good thing, I don't know yet but we'll see...).
Both players definetly have knocks on them. Charlie is still an horrendous defensive player and doesn't rebound too well on the defensive end while TJ has had some serious injury problems and whenever I see him, has some questionable shot selection.
As a Raptors fan, it's sad to see Charlie go because he really liked Toronto, was a great human being in the NBA and was generally a likeable player. This is one gutsy move by Colangelo but a necessary one IMO. The Raptors are going nowhere without a PG, there are no good PG's on the market this year and probably wouldn't be next year.
