As for 300, I wasn't as pumped as everyone else at the end of the movie. I'm probably the only one, but Dave Chappelle's "slow motion" skit kept replaying in my head. The movie would be like an hour long if they turned the slow motion parts into regular. Not saying it was a bad movie or subpar, but I don't think it wasn't as great as everyone puts it out to be.
I'm still waiting for Pursuit of Happiness and Def Poetry Jam Season 4 from my Blockbuster Online subscription. I should go back to Netflix because the turnaround time returning DVDs and getting your next ones is ridiculous on Blockbuster
Sign up with Blockbuster Total Access.... You can take the movies you get in the mail and take them to your local blockbuster and get a free in-store rental for each of them, then they send them back for you themselves, and your movies in your online quene are to your house in 2 days, then repeat..
Yeah that thing was hilarious. Something about a white guy who works in the IT department listening to Geto Boys, too funny. Couple years ago there was a guy at my church who used to impersonate Lumbergh while giving the announcements, coffee cup, suspenders and all.
Anybody seen My Super Ex-Girlfriend? Not the greatest movie, but to see how psyhotic Uma Thurman can be was enough to watch it.
Its funny because I told my religion prof about 300 and he hated it and said that the way they demonized the persians was tragic.
The fool... did your Prof. not see how Leonidas cut off one Persian's leg with an upward stroke and sent said Persian back down to the earth with a downward stroke to his chest in one fluid motion... that's all that mattered... lol.
Unfortunately, I saw 300 with a female and, as a result, never got the full, "I wanna go drop kick an usher" feeling that I usually get after seeing action/adventure movies. I'm still trying to go see it in IMAX... I'll probably do so this weekend...
