BEFORE the rule was created 4 years ago there was no grey area...it was just two steps with the ball = completed pass
Explain to me how it is debatable according to the current rules.

It is simple. If a receiver is going to the ground while making a catch, he needs to maintain possession until the end of the catch. Dez did not do that.

People are also missing the part where Sam Shields makes a play on the ball causing dez to bobble the ball throughout the process of the catch.

Curry and Green at the Panthers-Seahawks game. Green threw food at some SeaHawks fans.....

As a broncos fan, I voted "i don't know and it doesn't matter" the colts outplayed us that game, and we didn't deserve to win. Sure, that woulda been a hell of a run, a notch below lynchs infamous "earthquake" run, but it didn't happen and gotta move on.....

because under the current rules a "football move" negates the ground causing an incompletion. If a player makes a "football move" it means that he has possession of the ball and it has been caught, EVEN if he is falling down.

A "football move" can be stretching out for a first down, the end zone, trying to get out of bounds to stop the clock, etc etc

The ref that reversed Dez's catch has stated that "Dez didn't stretch far enough" for it to be considered a "football move"...OKAY, that is his judgement call, HOWEVER, the original call on the field was "CATCH", so in order to reverse it there needs to be INDISPUTABLE PROOF that Dez wasn't making a "football move" and that does not exist.

You see a stretch. The ref and most of the world see a stumble. A stumble is not a football move.

It used to be a week after the Superbowl but not it's in between the championship game and the SB so NFL fans will still have something to watch until the SB

It doesn't matter, the general consensus is right call by letter of the rule but a bad rule. The problem is it's not the right call by the letter of the rule. 2 feet down and advancing the ball is a catch by the letter of the rule. Nowhere does it say that advancing the ball has to be intentional/ can't be stumbling. Dez caught the ball outside the 5 and had his second foot down with absolutely clear control at the 4. The ball hit the ground at the. .5. That's 2 feet and advancing the ball. Doesn't matter if he extended the ball. It's still a catch by the letter of the rule. The fact that the same idiot ref made the same incorrect call 4 years ago doesn't make it any better.
