But you're trying to make it seem like Montana was carried by his teams.

Fact: 49ers were absolute garbage before Montana got there. If you had a time machine and told someone from the 1970s that the 49ers would be a dynasty in football, they would've laughed at you. They were a joke team the way the Jaguars are today. Montana turned the franchise into one of the 3 best dynasties of all time.

All I am pointing out is that Montana had more talent around him than Brady which is a FACT.

It doesn't change the fact that they had an elite defense when Montana was winning, offensively they had 2 HOF caliber players in Craig & Rice also pro bowl caliber players in Clark (81 & 84), J. Taylor (88, 89), & Wendell Tyler (84).

LMAO at mentioning Wendell Tyler and Dwight Clark.

Let's do this:
remove Rice and Gronk from the equation (2 best each had), and Brady has had the better weapons overall. Between Moss, Welker, Dillon, Edelman, Branch, and Blount, they surpass Taylor, Craig, Rathman, and Clark.

Keep embarrassing yourself son.

I am only comparing what weapons they had when they won titles, Brady didn't win with Moss & Welker, which means Montana had more talent around him than Brady during their super bowl seasons.

1100 yards is some amazing stat?
1200 rushing yards can carry a team to the a title?

And it's even worse that Brady had all that talent and still couldn't win a ring.

Keep embarrassing YOURSELF.

I mean if we're just gonna on years when they won the SB, then:

Montana - 83 for 122, 68%, 1142 yards, 11 tds, 0 ints, 127 passer rating

Absolute GOAT stats. This is in non passer friendly era, when defenses can actually hit a QB.

Funny how you are trying to diminish these stats when both Clark & Tyler were pro bowl players during those 49ers championship years, and who said they were carrying the 49ers to a title? What a joke.

Montana was benched during a playoff game in 1987 for poor play. "GOAT" indeed.

I'm not trying to diminish them, any more than you're trying to exaggerate them. He had good players on his team. The 49ers weren't all scrubs. But the team was built around Montana, and the way he ran the offense.

The team was built around Montana but it doesn't change the fact that Montana had more talent around him than Brady. End of Story. Goodnight.

It's actually just haters clinging to any stupid argument they can come up with since they know Brady is the GOAT already.

But Montana didn't throw picks in the Super Bowl.

Good to know the Super Bowl is the only game ever played in NFL history.

I disagree, and I don't think you watched enough football back then to understand.

Brady was considered a game manager for the first 3 Super Bowls.
No one in their right mind would ever call Montana a game manager. He was the conductor of one of the finest offensive machines of all time.

Hypotheticals are fun.

Jimmie Johnson has gone on record as saying the 49ers when Montana played there taped other teams the SAME EXACT WAY the Patriots were accused of for Spygate - that it was something Bill Walsh taught him to do and he did it when he coached the Cowboys.

Bill Parcells also said on record that the 49ers when Montana played there messed with the Giants telecommunications equipment and also shut off all of of their head sets during playoff games.

In addition to that, the 49ers were twice fined by the NFL and lost draft picks twice for cheating on roster rules, once on player exceptions (when Montana was QB) and once on cap violations (when Young was QB).

Finally, you have also claimed here numerous times in this forum that "your Giants never cheated"...............

Yet, it has been documented and proven that some of the Giants players were guilty of doping, both PED and also cocaine use right before games (in order to get an advantage) during their 2 Super Bowl championships in the 80s.

It's also unbelievable how ludicrous and insane your hypocrisy is, since you claim "Belichick has always been a cheater", and that "he cheated in order to win all of his titles", considering he was the Giants defensive coordinator when they won both of those Super Bowls. So if what you say is true, BOTH of those Giants Super Bowls were won through cheating, and that is even not counting the fact that they WERE WON THROUGH DOPING.

You are a sick person.
