Well the reviews will start coming on August 24th, that's when the embargo is lifted.

Sick.
Hope it's a great game, I'm intrigued by this.
But ambitious projects were rather disappointing as of late (Watch Dogs & GTA V).

Yeah, I didn't really enjoy GTA V as much as I wanted to. The story was bland and not very interesting compared to GTA IV, San Andreas and Vice City, and GTA Online didn't really appeal to me. I just found it to be repetitive and boring.

I think I might do a playthrough of the series soon.

Watch_Dogs was made by Ubisoft, so that was understandable. Fvck Ubisoft.

I think Kojima, as a video game maker, is on another level to everyone else. I can't really see any projects of his flopping.

So much for that. Two people just got fired, so I probably have to work that day

It's funny how two people lose their jobs and the first thing that came to my mind was how it affects my MGS V experience

I knew this game had GOAT potential from the moment I saw it at E3 2013.

/r/metalgearsolid - 10 / 10
I went in with high expectations, and every expectation I have has been ruthlessly shattered and replaced with GREAT appreciation, respect, and awe.

USGamer Mild Prologue Spoiler
I will say that Kojima has crafted an incredibly memorable game, and when all is said and done, possibly his best.

Game Informer
The gameplay, storytelling, and protagonists in Metal Gear may shift with each new installment, but Kojimaís ability to surprise and enthrall gamers remains unchanged.

Examiner - ☆☆☆☆☆
Itís difficult to think about the next time we see a new Metal Gear Solid and when that will be. It is, however, not difficult to say that Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain is the best game of the year so far.

Destructoid - 9 / 10
Despite the fact that I hit a few snags along the way, Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain feels like a simultaneous celebration of the series, and a decidedly new chapter. It's equal parts tough and flashy, and it's fitting that if this is Kojima's last Metal Gear, he goes on a high note.

EGM Now - 9.5 / 10
If this is Hideo Kojimaís final game, then he is stepping out at the top floor of the industry.

Gamespot - 10 / 10
The Phantom Pain may be a contender for one of the best action games ever made, but is undoubtedly the best Metal Gear game there is.

IGN - 10 / 10
Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain doesnít just respect my intelligence as a player, it expects it of me, putting it in league that few others occupy.

Rocket Chainsaw PROLOGUE SPOILERS
From the amazing attention-grabbing opening sequence to the classic stealth gameplay and lively open-world, there is certainly a lot to be excited about from this entry.

Press Start - 9 / 10
I must also praise Kojima for offering up a game that is not simply engaging and cinematic, but is one that also grants the player some agency in how the story plays out.

Metal Gear Informer - 10 / 10
Since November of 2004 I have said ďMetal Gear Solid 3 is the best game ever made and nothing will ever beat itĒ. Today August 23rd 2015 I can say without a other thought that Metal Gear Solid V The Phantom Pain is the absolute greatest video game ever made

Gametrailers - 9.3 / 10

YongYea

GameOverGreg

Respawn Ninja / 100%
This is simply one of the best games Iíve played this year.

Kotaku
Itís pretty damn good.

Fvcking HYPE.

I don't think we'll see another game with this much dedication and heart put into it, until maybe the next GTA. These don't come around very often any more.

Kojima

Kojima

IGN & GameSpot gave it 100%.
GameTrailers gave it 93%.

These 3 websites don't just hand out perfect scores; that's very impressive.
This game might actually beat out The Witcher 3 it seems.

the gamespot review is a really great read.

Quote:
Every fan of Metal Gear has their favorite game in the series. For some, it's the unique gameplay quirks, memorable set pieces, or specific plot points that dictate their adoration for one game over another. When defining the best Metal Gear game, things get trickier, but with The Phantom Pain, that problem is finally resolved. There has never been a game in the series with such depth to its gameplay, or so much volume in content. The best elements from the past games are here, and the new open-world gameplay adds more to love on top. When it comes to storytelling, there has never been a Metal Gear game that's so consistent in tone, daring in subject matter, and so captivating in presentation. The Phantom Pain may be a contender for one of the best action games ever made, but is undoubtedly the best Metal Gear game there is.

hype!

I can't think of a single game off the top of my head that received a perfect score from both GameSpot and IGN; besides maybe GTA V.

Last of Us got 80% from GameSpot.
That's pretty bad ass; but I am still not sure if it's my type of game.
I think I'll get too bored from the slow paced gameplay.
