People are saying Detroit isn't all that bad now. Wow. What, they will become PHX now? They'll have Sheed run the Center? And STILL be effective? Mind you, they lost because they were not focused enough on defense. Now?
sure Cleveland has a good chance of finsihing with a better record than the Nets.. or maybe not... but one year of good basketball does not prove them.. even though they were on the heels of knocking out the EC Champs.
the Bulls have always been a strong team, but they need to prove themselves this year with Big Ben.
the Nets have history even though their success has been shaky since 2003 and limited mostly to regular season highlight reels and first/second round exits.
and I am not homering because after this season, NJ could very possibly be the #4 team in the East rather than potential #2/3
All Detroit has left is a MLE they are financially strapped. So dont expect no major financial moves from them.
Where is Yinka Dare? Oh his team didnt make the finals so he isnt interested in the game no more. WE dont see his rah rah shish boom bah piehole round these parts no more.

In no particular order are the 4 best teams in the East...
This is too funny man. Take the nets out of there and put the Pistons back there if you want 4 best. And the nets are no proven team VC you homer(LOL). The bulls gave the heat more of a fight than the nets did in the playoffs, the nets got punched.
Detroit will be better than Indiana. Especially if they trade Jermaine O'Neal and Jamaal Tinsley for rebuilding reasons. Ron Artest screwed the Pacers because of that brawl. And then the way he acted the season later to get him traded to the Kings for someone that won't even be on the roster. The Pacers could have traded for Maggette. At least he has 3 years left on his contract so he won't be able to bolt like Peja did. A lot of the Pacers moves were questionable. I still don't know why they got rid of Brad Miller.

The Pistons are still the second best team in the East.
